Cannot Log In

Post by Kiralynx1 » Tue Apr 22, 2014 11:18 am

This is Kiralynx.

Trying to access the board.

For the last 12 hours, the board insists that I have exceeded my maximum number of attempts to log in.

I closed my browser(s), and left it for 12 hours. It's still insisting I cannot log in.

Try clearing your board cookies as well as the cookies on your computer.

Tried deleting cookies -- first thing I tried. Tried deleting board cookies too.

Now the d@mn thing won't give me a confirmation code until after I try to send.

Tried resetting the password, too.

I have never had that happen so I am out of ideas.
I will send Carolyn a private message to alert her to the problem and see if she and her tech team can come up with other ideas.
I will point her to this thread.

Thank you -- as I have a couple private messages waiting and can't access them.

Yep.
Depending on which browser you're using.......
Clean out "Cookies",
Clean out "Temporary Internet Files",
and, go to the bottom of the forum front page and click on "Delete all board cookies" and follow the instructions.

I use both Firefox and Chrome.

I usually use Firefox for CPAPTalk.

I've cleared the CPAPTalk (and CPAPDotCOM) cookies via Cookie Culler, and dumped the cache. Also cleared board cookies.

Still no luck.

I've tried changing the password, as well.

Well, I am finally in. I cleared both browsers. Histories and cookies. Cleared board cookies on both browsers. Five times.

Don't think I've ever had anything this weird happen when trying to get in.

New computers! Augh! There's a reason I hate switching machines....!

I was able to sign in earlier but when I tried to submit a post I received a message asking me to verify that I was not a bot. Strange because I have never received that kind of message before.

Were you asked a question to verify that you weren't a bot?

It not only wanted me to prove I wasn't a bot, it didn't want to provide me with a space to type the captcha. Then, when I got one, despite being careful about case sensitive issues, it pronounced whatever I typed in as invalid.

Deleting all cpap.com and cpaptalk cookies, as well as the board cookies about six times finally seems to have solved the problem.
