Re: CMS-50F Pulse Ox Results

It really depends on your reason for using it in the first place. I look mainly at 3 different numbers with my data from the pulse ox 1. Average or Basal SpO2% 2. Average pulse Rate 3. time (min),88% I chart items 1 and 2 daily for well over a year now to track trends. for me I am more interested in...

Re: CMS-50F and CMS-50i USE with SleepyHead

with the 50i it records the Pleth waveform graph? Will sleepyhead import that also? I have read a few websites and they all say that is shows the PI waveform, but none mention that it records it.

Re: Issue With Filters Coming Off

Are you using the white filter with the tab on the top? Some has said in the past to cut the tab off and they stay better. I use the newer model, based on the humidifier that you link, and the new filter does not have the tab anymore. I have also read where people have put a large elastic band aroun...

Helmet Bests Mask for Infant CPAP

an interesting read - they use CPAP to treat infant bronchiolitis - they found the use of the helmet to be better. Never knew there was a helmet http://www.medpagetoday.com/Pediatrics/GeneralPediatrics/50517?xid=nl_mpt_DHE_2015-03-18&utm_content=&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=DailyHeadlines&utm_sour...

Re: Using CPAP overseas

When I travel international I take a plug adapter, extension cord, and power strip (outlet strip) with me. This way I use one plug adapter on the extension cord and plug in the power strip. I skip the cord if there is an outlet next to the bed (only sometimes am I so lucky) Then I can plug in my cel...

Re: Distilled water is just broke(help pls...)

Hello - I travel to Germany a few times a year and always use tap water as I have never found distilled water there. I can tell you that by the end of the week there is a lot of crud in bottom of the chamber especially on the aluminum heat disc. It cleans off pretty easy typically with some warm wat...

Re: tossing and turning any klonpin

I have REM sleep behavior disorder - currently up to 1mg, started with 0.5mg for about 1 year and it was not working so well with on average of 1 episode a month. So far so good on 1mg. My new doctor in Texas (was in Michigan) said they typically use 2mg for patients.... personally I would not chang...

Re: Plethy graphs - need explanation

Let's see - We can with the current CMS50F version and run live data into the newest version of sleepyhead to record the pleth graph - but then you would need to have the wire from the CMS50F to the computer with sleepyhead running all night.... I am not aware, as of yet, that there is a device that...

Re: Plethy graphs - need explanation

Hello - my first question is what device are you using that records the pleth graph?
S9 ResMed VPAP ST Oximeter : Contec CMS50E

Does the ResMed record it? Or did you attach the cable from the Contec to the computer all night?

Re: What's going on with my spO2 dips? ASV.

It is a most interesting graph for me with a few items to note - based on the zoomed in data provided so far I see: 1. the overall pulse change event is just under 5 minutes in duration (4 minutes 30 seconds is my estimate by scale) 2. the SpO2 event starts at the end of an open event shown on the p...

Re: Help? SleepyHead ?: can't import fr Contec CMS50F

you can always use SpO2 review software to read the data from the device and save the file. Then you can import the data from the file. IF the other option for direct import does not work for you... you might want to also check the driver - USB to Serial UART is running when you plug the pulse ox in

Re: "By Pressure" in SleepyHead v0.9.8-1

another interesting bit - the table and graph update based on the data that you see---- so if you zoom in on a smaller time range the table and graph will updated based on the highlighted time range - most interesting

Re: "By Pressure" in SleepyHead v0.9.8-1

Here is my opinion of this after looking at several days of data top line in orange - pressure in centimeter of water pressure - also a good term is pressure bin. Not sure what range of pressure is considered 10 or 11, etc... but for now lets just go with this The next line is the total time in minu...
