CPAP and flying . . .

Do you check with the airline first or just ask the flight crew after getting in the air? Flying business class to S.A. and the all the seats have a power outlet.

On UA, I informed the flight attendant and the person in the adjacent seat I planned to use the machine. No problem at all.

When I used the F&P Icon Auto, it was important to disable the heater prior to getting on the plane. The seat outlet didn't provide sufficient current to power up the machine if the heater was enabled.

Safe travels!
