Data viewer for 960 BiPAP AutoSV / Missing data

Post by pswartz » Thu Apr 17, 2014 7:40 am

I am new to this forum (and sleep apnea). I was prescribed the 960 BiPAP AutoSV and can't seem to find software which will read the data.

I've tried EncoreBasic 2.2.2.0 (says the data format is bad when it reads the card), SleepyHead (latest stable and beta - data is really weird - AHI in the 30,000's), Encore Pro 2.2 (got it installed, but it could not find a card reader, so I couldn't load my data).

onkor.net DOES let me inport my data, but has limitations.

What are others doing to view their data?

Also, when I went back to the Dr's the other day, they could not read the data either. Looking at what I can see in Sleepyhead or Onkor, it seems that data is missing. Specifically, I _know_ I had my nasal mask on from 2AM - 5AM, but the files for that period only show a ~30 minute duration. I wonder if the machine if defective. Any ideas?

The problem is the format of the data on the SD card from a model 960 machine. The other software programs simply aren't compatible and that's why you get whacko data or no data.

I sent you a private message with information on what software will work.
You have one choice...Encore Pro 2.12 or 2.13....probably why your doctor's office couldn't get the data..they need to update their software.

Pro 2.2 is actually very, very old version. It went from 2.2 to 2.3 to 2.4 to 2.5 and I think 2.8 and then did a weird version number thing to 2.11, 2.12 and now 2.13.

Pro is PITA to install and use but you have no choice.
Once you get it installed and use it...there's a couple of tricks I know to make it a bit easier to manage.
Change password default time
Change time zone
Be sure to read the instruction download for how to install and use...at same place I pointed you to download if you have never been able to use Pro.

Thanks for the links. I was able to get it installed (64 bit 2.13.6.0) and it read my data off the card. However, it is "Unable to create the report to display". When I select a day and try to view it (summary, trend, detailed or waveform", it opens up a blank report window with the above message in red on the main therapy data page.

I changed the timezone of the company, which triggered a recalculation. That seems to be done as it now says "N/A" versus "recalculation in progress 0%)

Windows 7 64 bit if that matters.

Suggestions?

I need to know the exact steps you are doing when you are trying to view a report.
Are you trying to select a specific date from the calendar or just letting the default work.
Don't try a specific date...just let it do its normal default choice.
And be sure to choose "detailed" in your choices.

We may need to do a phone consult so I can talk to you as you do your steps and at the same time have my Pro version open so I can simulate the steps you are doing.

Pro 2.13 works for other 960 users...you are the first to report not being able to generate a report so maybe something in the steps to report selection ?????

Update.

Not sure what is going on but OP can't get detailed data but the software does import...just won't generate reports.
His steps to generate a report seem to be correct. Therapy data tab shows the typical usage bars but when selecting view a report an error pops up.

At first I thought machine was too new but on the off chance it was his software/computer I had him send me a copy of his SD card P Series folder and I used my Pro 2.13 and it works....
So now to try to figure out why his Pro version (exact same as mine) works only half assed.

I am using Windows 7 computer but Pro 2.13 is supposed to be compatible with up to Windows 8.1 and I don't think that is the issue...if it was the usual problem is with install...not generating a report. The download sequence works and we can see general overview of hours used...just won't generate a report.

Bad install maybe??? All I know to do is remove and try again.

I sent a copy of the saved pdf report to his private email address...so at least he has a detailed report...therapy is looking really good...
Patient triggered breathing never falls below 97%
No centrals to speak of.
Average AHI below 5.0 and when it is around 4 to 5 it is typically the usual hyponeas that we normally see with ASV machines like this.
At this point...all I see is some fractured sleep sessions and short hours of sleep.... that I would work on. Time...give it time to get used to the machine and this type of therapy. I don't see any reason to change anything based on the data shown.

I would ask if he did a cold boot after installation. Some of that SQL stuff doesn't like a warm boot.

If that doesn't work then completely uninstall Encore and the SQL server, reboot and reinstall.

Thanks to Pugsy for helping me with this. Everything is working fine!

After a number of re-installs / reboots / tests, I was able to deduce that you must run the program as “administrator” for the reporting engine to work! Running as myself (which IS an administrator role) won’t work – you need to right-mouse click it and “run as administrator”. I changed the properties to always run this way for the future.

So, I can confirm that EncorePro 2 Version 2.13 64 bit works just fine with the 960.

Thanks for reminding me about the "run as administrator" thing. When I have installed all the various versions of Pro in the past I always installed it using that command line as a matter of habit and I had forgotten about that part of the install. I will probably forget it though..again.
It's just a habit I have gotten in to doing when installing special software and I never know if it really is needed or not. Mainly a CYA thing because it might be needed.
Something that is second nature to me and I don't really pay attention to it. Should this problem arise again for someone in the future hopefully I will be able to remember to make that suggestion.

Glad we got you up and running though and even more glad that your reports look so good. You don't have to worry about that part of things and can concentrate on just getting used to the machine and those fragmented sleep sessions and stuff in general. I think that once you can be more longer solid blocks of sleep that you will feel even better. Fragmented sleep will really mess with how we feel the next day even if the actual reports are picture perfect.

That gives me hope. I'm going to try to reinstall it using administrator privileges.
