We have just been notified that I own the machine that I turn on each night.
Is there a Medicare replacement schedule for the machine itself? Thanks
Machine replacement
Re: Machine replacement
It was 5 years, but recently I've heard that you must show that the current machine is not working properly...or...your doctor must indicate that you need a different type of therapy.

Re: Machine replacement
There is no replacement of machine on the Medicare Replacement schedule that I have, and I really don't have an answer because I am two months into therapy and have no experience with that. However, there is mention that annually you have to have certification that you continue to need cpap therapy, that you continue to use it, etc. and your DME has to document all of this... so you may need to work with your doc to get a new machine when the time comes. Hopefully someone who has been with the therapy a long time will be able to answer more specifically.
