Re: What causes Central Apnea?
Why on earth would you assume that Susan smokes, drinks beer, eats out a lot, etc.? How presumptuous! ======= i never assumed anything YOU are the one that made the statement that if Susan just gave up these things, she would be able to buy a computer in no time when YOU said: or save up and buy a ...

Re: Interesting call from Philips Resperonics
I messaged Philips Resperonics on Facebook asking if they provided DMEs with non-branding blister packs, and showed them a comparison photo. I got a call back about 48 hours later with a product specialist and she was alarmed about a generic knock-off that's on the market. She filed a report on the...

Re: New low for DME
Seems my wife's DME is attempting to hold her hostage. She recently ordered a new mask, today she learned they are refusing to provide the mask unless she brings in her SD card so they can download the data. They won't allow a print out, they have to download the data and they will send a bill for ...

Re: Respiratory rate
Quit the clock watching or turn it around so you can't see it. It just adds to anxiety which feeds the insomnia monster. If you want to do something while awake to help isolate potential SWJ just reach over and turn the machine off and back on again . This will create a break in therapy that is eas...

Re: What causes Central Apnea?
the good news is that cpap will help with your mental health, give it 3 to 12 months and I'm sure you will feel a lot better, I did. The OP has been using CPAP since 2006: Thank you ladies! I have spoken to my Dr and he knows I am on Cpap. Now it is up to me to work past these thoughts! I am seeing...

Re: Respiratory rate
I felt quite comfortable when the pressure was 8-16. I had a few stomach issues then but they passed quickly and I tried to educate myself by reading old posts from this forum. Last night my stomach was only an issue towards the end of the night/sleep. However, since moving the pressure to 10 I hav...

Re: Respiratory rate
Fenelon, As someone who as battled the "can my stomach get more bloated problem" I feel for you. A real story that I can now look back on and see some humor, but it wasn't at all humorous at the time: On my third night of PAPing I woke up from a vivid dream where I was an intelligent goose being for...

I'm updating SH Guide; questions about install on Windows
Folks, I'm finally getting around to doing some long delayed editing on my SleepyHead User Guide over at apneaboard.com. It's quite a project as those of you who have ever looked at it might guess. There are things that I'm going to need feedback on from time to time, and I want to post those things...

the library has pcs you can use for free[/quote]
You can't install a piece of software like SleepyHead on a library's pc. So that idea won't help Susan check her detailed data.

Re: the vendors respond: VPAP *IS* an ASV
Clarification: The 36008 and 36038 are purely S and T modes, no ivaps. The only machines with iVAPS are the 36009 and 36039 and 36050 (which has every mode). The 36034 (COPD) is a 36004 S model with pre-set trigger/cycle/TiMin/TiMax settings that are generically more suited to COPD treatment, a max...
