Re: Dream station read files?

Could the message be "Can't Read SD Card Data"?
That message indicates the SD Card is corrupt and should either be replaced or formatted.

Other than that, I've not seen any DreamStation message indicating that the patient "read the SD card".

Re: Converting CPAPs into ventilators

Just a thought.
For non-invasive ventilation, the two classes of CPAP - ASV and S/T, can already operate in this mode.
Mine did for me a few years back.

I suspect that the conversion to one of these types would be cost prohibitive even if allowed by the FDA and/or the manufacturer.

Re: BiPAP autoSV Adv 60 Srs filters blowing out

+1 on the rubber band. That's what I did on my Respironics 960 ASV machine and the problem was solved. As to the mask switch, looking at pictures of the two masks, the F20 seems to have a smaller cavity than the QUATTRO. Perhaps the smaller volume inside the mask is letting coughing back pressure ge...

Re: Apnea or Afib

Take a look at the breathing data in the OSCAR graph to see if you can identify the time frame. Then look at the other graphs to see what might be going on.
If this is a repeating issue, perhaps getting an OSCAR compatible recording pulse oximeter so that additional data is collected.

Because she is a twin, it seems likely that it will continue after the baby is born.

BTW Congratulations on a new grand baby! Don't let your head explode with pride <grin>

Re: Breathes per minute

Rick, Your explanation is quite good and clear. Thank you for posting a very helpful explanation. One small correction though. The use of the word Median as interchangeable with Average . Average is the total of the measurements divided by the number of measurements. Median, on the other hand, is th...

Re: Saved Draft Button

Yes, I can see the Manage Drafts button but nothing is there.
I'm, assuming that the problem is local to me and not general to the message board.
I'll keep experimenting to see if I can localize what is happening.
Thanks for the replies.

Re: Dreamstation False Snoring Detection Problem

ACBio replaced the main board and the problem went away. In hindsight, I noticed that the Auto On function wasn't working properly - took 6 or 7 breaths tp get the machine to turn on. Now with the new main board, it turns on in 1 or 2 breaths. Obviously some sensor hard wired on the main board was i...

Saved Draft Button

On my Windows 10 machine (can't speak to other versi0on of Windows nor anything at all about Mac machines), I notice two things: 1) The button seems slightly greyed out, and 2) Clicking on it clears out the current draft of the message and the draft seems not to be stored anywhere I can find. One of...

Re: Questions about DreamStation Bricks

Last post on this thread. Careful analysis of the data on my machine shows: 1) Encore Pro cannot see patient data on an SD card that has data from a machine using firmware v1.06.1021 if that card also has patient data written from a machine using a prior version of the firmware (in this case V1.00)....

Re: Questions about DreamStation Bricks

Updated information: Careful examination of the file structure on the SD card shows that Respironics has moved the patient data from the P0 file folder to a new sub-folder called D. All of the .001, .002, etc. seem to be there now and Encore Pro doesn't find them. There seems to be some OSCAR fallo...

Re: Questions about DreamStation Bricks

Thanks Pugsy: In my case the only files that are written seem to be related to which folder is being used (LAST.TXT), something that Encore uses (ENCORE.TXT), and a couple that are completely new to me (REUSERSP.001 & REUSERSP.002). In the patient data folder (21700425) there is a "D" folder that ha...

Re: Are machines numbers accurate?

The answer is both Yes and No at the same time. Your CPAP machine accurately reports what is going on during your sleep. And, … the in-lab accurately records (after certain adjustments) what was going on during your sleep study. The problem in comparing the two results comes from the baseline defini...
