I just ordered one from cpap.com. $95.00 with free insurance. Can't beat that deal to try one out. Sure looks interesting.

I will be interested to see what you think, especially as you are also using the Swift FX. I do think that if I were a back sleeper something would need to be jury-rigged to keep the back strap down.

The product images at https://www.cpap.com/productpage/respir ... -mask.html show the headgear fit very differently from the way my supplier fit me. I think I need to start over in front of a mirror. Maybe the back strap isn't so weird after all.

I just ordered one of the Nuance (not the Pro - I don't think I would like the gel insert in the headgear). I bought it online from a Canadian supplier. Didn't do too badly as far as price goes, since I can claim a portion of it on my Extended Health Plan. The shipping is free. Since I am in Canada, I would have to pay shipping from cpap.com where I buy many things cpap. Of course it is a Philips Respironics mask and, unfortunately, they won't let cpap.com ship to Canada any more.

I will get it Monday. I just wanted to post on the thread so I can follow, and add to, the reviews.

I just got mine in the mail today. I just tried it on and did a 2 minute test. I wish I was tired, because i can hardly wait to use it tonight. The back strap seems like it won't ride up my fat head like my fx does. Pillows seem equally comfortable if not more so. It seems like it won't leak as easily, which is great because the fx doesn't leak too badly. First impression is very favorable.

Yep, just arrived today, looking forward to trying it tonight. Very light, very soft, and the nasal pillows are very pillowy *smile*. We'll see, I usually have a problem sleeping with a new mask. This one seems like it might be nice and comfortable, though, so it might just work. Have a good feeling about this one.

Best leak line I've had in years! This mask looks like a winner. The back strap gripped the skin on my shaved head and didn't slide up. One night says this mask has improved on the FX in every way. It will be interesting to see if the headgear is durable. The pillows were comfortable and sealed nicely. Unless something changes, this is my new mask of choice.

Can you tell me, if the pillows have the double wall insert thing that many of the other pillows seem to... I cant use these type, it causes a horribly irritating whistle that keeps me awake.

It is just a single wall that goes up into the nares. There is a gel ring that surrounds the cone and seals to the outside of the nose .

I got mine this morning; and tried it on for a bit.
Love, love, LOVE the gel--it is so soft. Leave it to Respironics to finally put gel in a nasal pillow!
--and the gel insert on the frame of the Nuance Pro. --like butter!
And finally the back strap! The curved shape to fit head shapes, the soft, squishy lining. Mmmm, I think I'm in love.
Tonight I see if I can sleep with it.
If Respironics is listening, how about a gel cushion for the Wisp--that would be heavenly!

I like the gel inserts on the frame, also. But I started having facial irritation from them. So I put my Swift FX soft wraps on the Nuance Pro...a little tight, but work perfectly!

I know this thread is about the Nuance Pro but I bought the regular Nuance with the fabric straps. Someone mentioned about the fabric straps possibly leaving marks on your face. Just wanted to let people know that they have NOT left any marks on my face at all!

I didn't get the Pro because I thought the gel might be an irritant to my face since I have problem skin. I'm glad I got the fabric headgear!

I don't see any reason why we can't have reviews of both the cloth and silicone headgear here. Keep things all in one thread so people can get ideas from users about both the choices available.
Mine should get here tomorrow...tracking shows it left Kansas City today.
I was torn as to which to get..fabric or the silicone and finally went with the gel/silicone just because it was different than usual.
I figured if the gel pads were a problem I have my Padacheek Swift FX side strap covers I can slip on.

I felt that this was the place to put that info and not start another thread about just the Nuance.

Just wanted to mention my experience with the fabric headgear for any who are looking at the Nuance (both of them). I find it a really comfortable mask and I've used a LOT of masks over the years since my diagnosis.
