Question about F&P ICON Humidifier

I am one that must have cool air coming through the hose. I have my humidifier set to 0 and the air coming in is unbearably hot. The water in the chamber is very warm as well.

Is there something else I need to do? Or do I have a faulty machine?

With the machine on for about 15 minutes (with humidifier set to 0 which should be off) can you check the humidifier plate to see if it is warm to the touch? It shouldn't be.

If it is producing warm air when it is turned off...either you are sleeping in a hot room or something is likely wrong with the machine and I would be having it checked out.

I would be taking it back to supplier. With humidifier turned off the water should be cool and the air should be cool unless your room air is extremely warm and I am betting it isn't.

Oh yes....the plate is very warm and so is the water in it. I dump it out every night and put cold distilled water WITH ice and it is still warm. My room is kept quite cool. I keep 2 fans running all night long.

I have an appointment with my DME this Monday...might be time to request a different "brand" if you get my drift!

Just for laughs and giggles I just got a thermometer to test the temp of the water. With the humidifier off the water registers 97*!!!

Too hot for me!
