OT SD Card adapter ??

A little background .. Tired of buying SD cards for My AS 11 ..
The slider that switches the card to read only lasts about 1 month ..
Then breaks and leaves the card read only and My Cpap can't use
it anymore ..
Anyone know of an adapter that fits the SD slot and allows a thumb
drive to be plugged into it ??

Why are you breaking the write protect lock to the SD card?
You are using the AirSense 11???? If so there is zero need to even touch that slider thing. You don't need to lock the SD card when you are putting it in your computer.

The warning for locking the SD card pertains to ResMed S9 model machines only and doesn't apply to the AirSense/AirCurve model line.

When I downloaded OSCAR I read a warning about locking the SD card .. I thought it was for all resmed machines ..
I do use a AS 11, I will unlock the card and leave it after this ..

I thought I saw where OSCAR now mentions the S9 models as the only models affected and needing the SD card to be write protected but of course I can't lay my hands on it right now.

Trust me...you don't need to lock the SD card. I never do.

I think he is concerned about the computer corrupting the data on an unlocked SD card. It's never happened to me, but I think if it did, the CPAP machine would reformat and reload the card with all it's data anyway.

As far as the S9 was concerned, each and evey time the unlocked card was read by the computer, the data was corrupted, and the card was overwritten.
Each and every time.
That is no longer an issue on the newer machines.

That's true, it's a note on the bottom of the import screen, iirc.

That was a problem with later versions of Windows, and Macs. earlier versions of Windows, (like 7 and before) didn't write crap to the SD card, and you can tell windows not to do it, but I don't remember off hand what the settings are, Macs were the ones that started that bad behavior.

Linux never had the issue, but then, Linux people tended to be aware of things like that.

I used the SD card unlocked this morning My windows laptop imported the data and it showed
up in OSCAR .. Tomorrow will be the proof if it works then it is not a problem ..
