Another question

I was just wondering this... Have any of you had rainout due to the space in the nasal mask area (not the hose)?
Can that space being a different temp than the inside of the hose make
rainout happen, or bothersome condensation? Just wondering.

Yep, I have had it in the nasal pillows. The moisture in our own breath condenses.
The barrel cozy was a big help.

It can happen with any nasal interface mask (or really any mask I guess). Depends on the room temp and humidifier settings along with the added moisture from out own breath.

Some folks really need the humidifier. They have sinus issues and can get stuffy. I often ask... do you really need it? I suspect folks here put a lot of unnecessary energy into the maintenance a humidifier causes without seeing if your condition really needs it. I was fighting terrible rainout and thru extreme stubbornness (I get that from my Dad...), I decided not to use it one night and realized the next morning that I didn't need the humidifier. Just sayin'
