Re: Sleepyhead and zeo csv data

Well it works for me.c I do remember that I dragged that graph (in the daily tab) to near the top - so it is one of the first ones that I see. By default I guess it was near the bottom of the list... Also - you need to add values in every cell in that column - I just add zeros. There are a few numbe...

Re: CPAP insomnia

When you get back to sleep with paracetamol, how is your sleep quality? Thats the weird thing ! The sleep quality and the sleep architecture (shown by zeo) is great It lasts about 4 hours.. (so if wake at 2.30am it fits nicely). I've never heard of paracetamol for sleep before.. The melatonin help ...

Re: CPAP insomnia

I've been on 3mg Time release MElatonin each night for about a month now... It helps - but doesn't fix the problem. In that time my ZEO scores have improved on average - but I still get the ocassional score in the 50's . I'm still suffering. I thought about moving to 5mg Time release - so tried taki...

Re: Use a CPAP ? here is FREE MONEY (from Australian Government)

Well I bought my first machine 2005 and my second machine 2012 over the Internet for about 1/3 the price quoted as retail in Oz. Both machines (resmed) were manufactured in Sydney. I paid $0 GST each time. In my most recent machine I also got back $500 from my med insurance (MBF / Bupa) upon present...

Re: problems falling asleep after waking up

Well I've been on CPAP since 2005 so remembering is a bit hard. It is possible that I've had the pattern before Cpap - periodically - perhaps stress related. I have s9 auto (with humid). I use both SH and resscan. There are no events that explain the wakes. My AHI # is always under 1.0 and usually a...

Re: S9 SpO2 sensor hackery

Tim, I love your work ! All power to you.. I also use the S9 - but I ended up buying the CMS50i (data recording oximeter). for about $130 delivered.. The key is integrating the oximeter data into the software you use. That comes to a discussion about Res-scan and Sleepyhead.. With a little hack (I t...

Re: problems falling asleep after waking up

Ok - this from Iphone so I may leave out some detail... First - I suspect the zeo is under reporting wakes - not over reporting. I don't doubt that 1 hour wake on 19th. I feel that I was probAbly in bed awake for 20mins b4 I got up.. Then up for 20 mins.. Then took another 20 to fall asleep. I know ...

Re: problems falling asleep after waking up

I was only taking 5-10 Excedrin a day and drank coffee in the evening. My Neurologist-Sleep Doc said, "Whoa... TOO MUCH Excedrin! Stop that now! 5-10 a week is probably too much!". yeah - but I am taking waaaaaay less than that. First, I have no coffee (or other caffeine) after 10.30am - you say yo...

Check out my post - I have uploaded two recent zeo graphs - that show my problem.. ie waking..

Any thoughts ? 5HTP ? Different melatonin dose ?

http://members.optuszoo.com.au/shb1/zeo_170612.jpg http://members.optuszoo.com.au/shb1/zeo_190612.jpg Here's examples of what I described. The AHI in both cases is between 0.0 and 0.5 (so the breathing/apnea is well controlled, and not the problem). Each time I take a Melatonin 3mg time-release (Na...

Use a CPAP ? here is FREE MONEY (from Australian Government)

Ok there are a couple of catches.. 1. You got to be an Australian living in Australia. 2. You got to currently a holder of one of these: health care card, pensioner card, seniors card, or veterans (DVA) card. This is a new program it started on 18 June 2012. It is run by the federal government calle...

Re: Melatonin

Well the 3mg (time release) melatonin has helped. But it is not a silver bullet.. My best zeo scores have improved - I now have scored 3 times over 100 (record is 112) and quite a few in the 90's (which was my previous record before taking melatonin), and the average ZQ has moved up a little but not...

Re: problems falling asleep after waking up

This is also my main problem.. I've tried a lot of things. Some work for a while, some dont work.. First I agree with basementdwellinggeek, I also use a Zeo, it allows you to quantify and be exact is how many awakenings and their duration. "sleep hygiene" - and all it encompasses is a big factor. Bu...
