Re: Sleepyhead Notes.
I used to use the Notes section to record when I changed masks but found it difficult to retrieve that information when I needed it so just began writing notes on the calendar next to my computer. If I have a particularly bad AHI or leak night, I will still write down what I believe may have contrib...

Re: nose stuffs up - air can't go in...
This may sound like a total no brainer but I have found I get congested if the pillows are too tight against my nostrils. Another thing that might help is using a saline spray liberally prior to going to bed to moisten those cranky nasal tissues. Mine don't seem to need much of an excuse to slam shu...

Re: Resmed S9 Autoset Acting Up
Had exactly the same problem! The screen also occasionally showed, for example, 32 hrs. of use. LOL! I took the machine in to the shop and they said the data card needed to be cleared, which they did and now it is acting fine.

I used to swallow so much air it would be painful to stand up in the morning. Happy to report that it lessened with time, and now after more than 2 years, never happens at all. As with all things, your mileage may vary.

Re: Advice on flying for the first time with Cpap machine
I had a TSA agent at a small, regional airport ask that I remove everything from the small case I use for only CPAP equipment and prescriptions and they ran everything through the scanner. I told her it was medical equipment but she insisted so I complied. More than aggravating but didn't want to ca...

[quote="Mozart22" My thyroid is fine, my Vitamin D is a little low, I take 5,000 IU of D3 per day. I also take Vitamin B12 and try to eat plenty of fruits and veggies. I don't take any medication. That your thyroid is fine is good but doesn't actually reflect your iodine level, which if low, can res...

Re: sickness and cleaning
I recently finished with a cold that lasted 10 days. I was thankful for my CPAP because I had the benefit of humidified air all night. At the end of the cold I boiled the silicone insert from my Quattro mask. I think cleaning the hose is unnecessary. Don't be afraid to boil the silicone...it comes ...

Re: Cold nights, rainout, and all that jazz
Began having the same problem as the weather cooled so tried to use the Climateline hose. However, the weight of the darn thing continually pulled my little, lightweight nasal mask away creating horrendous leaking. So, back to the regular hose which I have been draping over my body, under the covers...

Re: OT - Drugs for Migraines (Starlette)
I take Sumatriptan Succinate the instant I realize a migraine is on the way and it's usually under control within 30 minutes. Occasionally need to take a second tablet, but rarely. For most of the migraines I have, there doesn't appear to be anything that correlates to on-set but when there is, it's...

Re: OT?--A Thread About Nothing (or, Please Hijack This Thread)
I guess the easiest and surest way would be to install software which would hide the IP address? Except the good ones seem to cost $$$ and I'm "frugal" (cheap). You could use a proxy, but of course, that slows things down a little bit, but for occasional use, I imagine it's NBD. I thought Firefox h...

Re: S/M PapCap is HUGE
Hi Lazer! Before you wash it, attach all the velcro tabs to the correct receiving ends. This should help the hook portions not pick up fuzz in the wash and dry. I really have wanted to try the PapCap but it sounds like it's more trouble than it's worth.

Re: Has everyone gone insane? CPAP Monitoring/Modems & SD Cards?
What makes you think they are interested in anything other than the number of hours used for however many nights your compliance consists of? I'm certain there is no risk and this seems a lot easier than having to take the data card to the DME to be downloaded, which in my case turned out to be a co...
