EPR levels?
After being on CPAP since the end of December I decided to try EPR. I turned it on but I wasn't sure how to set the level so I set it at 1. When I put on my mask it seemed I wasn't getting enough air so I immediately turned EPR off. I was a bit surprised that I had to turn off the level before I tur...

Re: cpaptalk.com buglets: pm- new messages & MySQL server errors
I usually access the site from work on a T-1 connection and I've not ever gotten any of those server errors so I think that they type of connection has something to do with the problem. Has anyone else on a T-1 gotten the error messages?

Re: Heat
Close your windows while the cool night air is still in the room and keep them closed and blinds closed during the day. I've read about people putting ice in their humidifier but I think that would be a very good idea. Imagine your nose/body's shock at the cold air and the heat would melt the ice. I...

Re: A Break in Therapy
If you continue to see the breaks, you might check with your electric company as they might be able to explain the breaks (or maybe not ). Still I would be sure to use a surge protector.

Re: Best mask for side sleeping?
I am a side sleeper and I find that nasal pillows work well. I've used Opus 360 and now Swift FX. One thing that I think helps with your hose is to use a hose clip to keep your hose from getting pulled away. I stretch my head back and clip my hose to my nightgown so the weight of the hose or tumblin...

Re: Free at last--my hair is free at last thanks to Bella Loops
I LOVE my bella loops too and my hair loves them. My hair has promised that if it notices that my ears start to stick out it will cover them. Honest, the thin loops don't push my ears out so that won't be a problem. For the first time since being on CPAP I feel totally free. My short hair doesn't st...

Re: How about an Equipment Review Section
When I am considering a new mask I go to our hosts site and read the reviews there. If I see more negative reviews than positive ones, I move on. I have found that in the cpap site, the reviews are honest and no, I don't work for them!

Re: Doctors Lying
Money is the root of almost all evil. Doctors get paid to do each surgery they recommend. The only option I see is for the recommender to not be the surgeon. Surgeons are all ready to go first thing in the morning and the game is to see how many surgeries they can perform that day. Want to see an an...

Re: Airflow across my arm...
Actually I've found that my airflow doesn't really go all that far so I hold my hand out and figure out the outer edge of the breeze and adjust accordingly. My partner accuses me of blowing him but since I've learned the range of the air flow I can confidently say that it is not I!

Re: mouth tape problems
I have had good success with folding a bandana and tying it around my head aver my mouth. I fold it over several times and it may seem strange but it works as well as taping did for me. With the Swift FX with the ear straps, I'm pretty happy not to have anything around the top of my head.
