Re: Does anyone make Hybrid (minimal contact ) FFM with nasal pillow instead of nasal cradle?
I hope the Mirage Liberty also has the additional vent It doesn't. I also sleep face down Have you considered using a face-down pillow? My Breeze is heavily modified, one of the modifications being a duct rerouting the vent up top. The F30i has two vents, with the second being up top, at the hose j...

I also sleep face down Exactly how are you sleeping face down? Both of the FFMs you mention vent on the front. Are you not blocking the vents? My Breeze is heavily modified, one of the modifications being a duct rerouting the vent up top. The F30i has two vents, with the second being up top, at the...

I'm interested in this, as well. Not that I have problems with mouth breathing or that there's anything wrong with my current mask... other than the fact that it has been discontinued for years and there's nothing similar on the market, and I don't know how much longer I can keep my current one aliv...

Re: Hooked On Melatonin
It's not really a paywall; as far as I remember, NYT gives you a fixed number of "free page-views" and then it cuts your access. It seems to be just cookie-based, so clear your cookies, use "incognito mode", whatever works best for you. Some are IP-based, so if your provider uses dynamic IP address ...

Re: Vitamin D efficiency study referenced in NYT article
Sounds like an interesting article. Unfortunately I can't read it bc I don't have a NYT subscription. You don't need a subscription to read it. They use some simple paywall (in your browser or IP address, etc.) to limit you to some number of articles per some period of time (e.g., 3 articles per da...

Re: Vitamin D efficiency study referenced in NYT article
So, is there consensus? Maybe expose to sunlight but use sunblock or protective clothing that blocks the harmful UV but lets IR go through? That'd be great since it's exactly what I had been doing, regularly hiking in the mountains, wearing compression shirts and leggings, and using SPF50 on my face...

I'm so glad I've kept my S8 and S9! I fear secondwindcpap.com may quickly run out of stock (and their prices - skyrocket), if this trend continues.

Re: Exhale is dropping off a cliff
[...] But, now I'm noticing the opposite. When I move from inhale to exhale, the bottom just drops out from under me. It's like falling off a cliff. Sudden and drastic. Is there a setting that will help with that? Just a suggestion based on a guess of what may be bothering you in this case: try inc...

It manifested itself into a psychological issue [...] [...] a solution? I have had something similar. I can't quite say it was "solved", but it's under control. Psychological issues never really get "solved" and the only way to manage them is by therapy. You're getting some "therapy" by posting her...

My allergologist prescribed me Ipratropium Nasal Spray for similar symptoms; maybe talk to yours. It has worked great for me on those (otherwise rare) occasions when I have that problem.

Re: Question about Solea Sleep procedure
He has been diagnosed with OSA for a couple of years now and has been using a CPAP machine. He said he was hoping this would alleviate his sleep apnea. But, I am always cautious about such procedures (given the bad track record of, say, UPPP) and was hoping to find some research before he subjects h...

Question about Solea Sleep procedure
I was not able to find any reference to Solea on this forum, and much more than marketing materials anywhere else, either, so I'll try and ask: has anyone had any experience or reliable information about the procedure called "Solea Sleep" . The reason I'm asking is not for myself, I don't think this...

Chelsea Handler on Jo Koy's sleep apnea
Last night I watched a segment from the Daily Show where Chelsea Handler discussed Jo Koy's sleep apnea (among other things, like true love). I thought some of you may find it interesting. It's only seven minutes, but if you want to skip to the part about CPAP, here is the link.

Re: I need help on my machine settings
Hi, Marq, I'd be glad to help. What make/model is the machine? If it is truly BiPAP than it must be Respironics (it's their trademark). I got started on a Respironics BiPAP Pro and it was great - it had a quick pressure rise and excellent sensitivity; because not much on it was adjustable. However, ...
