Re: Lost 50 lbs and now CPAP killing me
I lost 50lbs down to my goal weight and I noticed I am getting dizzy/lightheaded spells, headaches, loss of balance. I have gone to every doctor there is, cardiologist, ENT, emergency room..etc etc all turned out fine. I stopped using my CPAP and the symptoms have almost disappeared. I did another ...

Re: Have you had a COVID-19 Vaccine or have an appt?
No idea how far this Barn Hunt drive will be but if it were me - out of an abundance of caution - I would not make any plans for the day after. 'Cept to plan for the worst and hope for the best. I am told that the 2nd shot is the same dose as the first and it is considered a good thing when the bod...

Wonder how many centuries it will take before they have an ASV model of this.
Due for a new machine... might consider waiting.

Re: Have you had a COVID-19 Vaccine or have an appt?
Hubby and I have had Pfizer One. Only reaction was a sore arm.
We get Pfizer Two next Tuesday, and I'm hoping it does not give me a hassle, since I've supposed to be driving to a Barn Hunt the next day.

Yes, the noise from those side hoses drove me insane. I could NOT use it -- glad it works for you, though!openheartmama wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 12:50 pmHave you tried the AirFit N30i? It's what I settled on after trying a dozen masks. I love that it is a nasal mask but that are no cushions and nothing over the bridge of my nose.

Re: Mask Differences -- Finding a New One
You could try this one: Wisp Nasal CPAP Mask, by PHILIPS RESPIRONICS https://www.cpap.com/productpage/wisp-nasal-cpap-mask-fit-pack-pr Thanks for the recommendation. IS this a regular nasal mask as opposed to nasal pillows? Those are usually too hot in New Orleans for comfort. I do like the idea of...

Re: Mask Differences -- Finding a New One
I have been racking my brain for a suitable mask for her but I can't come up with one that would fit her needs and rather unique circumstances with the limb pain issues. The Bleep could be used with her hose management system but I don't know if she would want that monthly expense and for sure don'...

Re: Mask Differences -- Finding a New One
If you have problems with hose pull on the mask, the AirFit P30i is the solution. The hose does not attach to the mask. It attaches to the headgear. Hose pull on the mask is eliminated. https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed-airfit-p30i-nasal-pillow-mask Actually, it was probably the Airfit P30i t...

Mask Differences -- Finding a New One
About nine years ago, I posted the following thread about my inability to use the Swift FX mask, despite its popularity with many CPAPers. http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t65519/Difference-Between.html It appears that I have the same issue with another Resmed mask, the AirFit P10. I still have my ...

Re: Ot-virus memes.
Funny how gluten allergies mysteriously disappeared. Normal store displays would lead us to believe that chicken hot dogs, sausage, etc. are very popular. And yet, the other day, that's all that was left. It seems that without real meat (mammal), life is way less appealing. Self-quarantine is not q...

you're welcome. please let me know if it works for him. i used the tap pap once. didn't like it at all. but i'm curious if the scunci rig would work with that. I like the tap pap very much... at home. I may have to dig out one of my old Headrest masks for traveling in the RV. The bed set-up doesn't...

Re: Why the hell would I use a humidifier.
I have been thinking about why some people may need humidification and others might not. Could it be related to the degree of mouth leak that is occurring? Mouth leak is said to be fairly common. If it was occurring, to any degree, then airflow through the nose and mouth would indeed be greater tha...

Re: Success with Dr. Dakota Collar Device
Cervical collars are too (expletives deleted) HOT. I made a brandy keg, using 4" diameter closed cell foam. I bored a hole down the center of my cylinder. Karen, of Padacheek, made me a cover for it, although you can get away with wrapping it in wicking fabric. I stuck a velcro strap through the hol...
