Re: Antidepressant drugs help few people

I'm one of those bipolar people and I attribute my life to a very good psychiatrist who prescribes meds, and a therapist. I also have neurological issues beyond bipolar,e.g. forgetfullness, poor cognition, getting lost while driving somewhere, or forgetting where I was going. I take Aricept for that...

Re: Protection of Bridge of Nose - New Product

Unfortunately my experience with the pad, Comfort Care Pad, with my Quattro FFM has not been good. I still have a large red area and some new skin breakdown after using the pad. Also I'm having more problems with leaks, but it could be time for a new mask. In any case the pad doesn't seem to be help...

Re: CPAP Pillows

I use the Regenesis pillow. Found one on Overstock.com for a good price and free shipping.
It's a great pillow- I took out a lot of the hulls- and find it very comfortable.

Re: Going in for a BiPAP today

15/11, 15 will be the inhale pressure with 11 as the exhale pressure. It sounds like you're doing fine. If your wife likes the Quattro it's compatible with the ResMed machines. I'd just ask the DME rep if there is anything special you need to know. I still consider myself a newbie- have been on BPAP...

Re: Pinch me, I'm dreaming (really nice DME rep)

The data card is the ResScan card which most people get with their machines to mail in to their doc or DME to read. I've heard some people don't get them. Again, I haven't yet got all the pieces together to do this myself. Sounds like you know as much, if not more than me.

Re: Pinch me, I'm dreaming (really nice DME rep)

ResMed software version 3.7 is available on ebay. You either need the USB card reader to read the card built into the back of the machine (plugs into the back of the machine and a usb port, or the Resscan data card and data card reader (this card reader also uses the Resscan data card and a usb hook...

Re: high respiratory rate

dsm, Haven't meant to ignore your questions. I might have answered some of them. I'm 57, in fairly good health physically except for a painful right knee and hip. I can walk three miles, no problem. I have other medical/psych/neurological issues- bipolar, hypothyroid, benign essential tremor, someth...

Re: high respiratory rate

Muffy, Thank you for the link; it's beyond my level of understanding as a complete layperson on the subject of OSA. I am taking my machine in to have the data downloaded and now know some further questions to ask my doctor. I am originally from the heart of Dixie, but have lived in Virginia since 19...
