Is my constant PR. 20 making me hypertensive?

Gday, I recall someone telling me on here that they had never seen anyone on this forum on constant pressure 20. I also recall reading a post about pressure in the lung raising blood pressure temporarily. Well about a month ago I saw a cardiologist in the late afternoon and he did a stress test on m...

Ran out of water in my humidifier last night, bad for lungs?

G'day! For some weird reason or another I woke up this morning and found my humidifier tank empty. I filled it full with spring water prior to sleep and only slept 7 hours. For the life of me I cannot figure out how this happened because I have slept ten hours before with a full tank and had a littl...

Re: DIY CPAP machine

Just go down to Goddfreys and pick up a 50 dollar vacuum cleaner. Rig it to blow instead of suck and gaff tape the nozzle into your mouth every night and silicon your nostrils shut. Open the little pressure port on the handle of the nozzle for C02 expulsion. DIY CPAP done. If you go camping just tak...

Re: Excess Carbon dioxide in the mask?

Hey Sylvie and Guest, In regards to feeling spaced in the morning, it has resolved yes. I no longer feel that way when waking BUT sometimes I may feel lightheaded rarely when waking with the chance of vertigo if I turn my head too fast but I have spoken to other users on this forum and the general c...

OT: Mask skins for geeks

I am a big 'Alien' the movie fan and I keep thinking wouldn't it be awesome if you could get latex model mask skins that fit around common masks. The one that comes to mind the most is the face hugger organism from above said movie. If I could buy a face hugger attachment with the limbs that fit aro...

Re: Strange Corelation Between Fitness and Machine Pressure

I can't believe it! Another Canberrian, what is it about this bizarre secluded city that attracts people to this forum - there are only 350K people here! I have also seen another Canberrian and one person from Sydney on this forum. Canberra is this strange secluded place that seems to be insulated f...

Re: What happened last night?

Hey thanks for the thoughts, it must just be a benign thing with my inner ears then. I do get popping noises and pressure changes all day after waking with the lightheadedness and eventually feel better. I do recall one thing I did differently though - rolled onto my side with the mask on, swapped s...

What happened last night?

Hello folks, I woke up really lightheaded this morning and I am trying to figure out what happened differently last night to cause it (so I can avoid it in the future). When I had a bad mask that was occasionally leaking without my awareness a month or so ago I would wake up lightheaded with the pos...

How to use the gecko nasal pad

Does anyone else have a gecko nasal pad? I went to the shop and could only find a large one, I have a medium quattro mirage and the pad caused the mask to leak? Does it have to sit completely inside the mask or can it extrude under the edges? I have ordered a small one to try that. Also, I find it h...

Seriously no-one else? Looks like I am the only one here.

If there are others and you are worried about the stigma of posting, it's 2012 and anyone who judges and sees mental illness as a weakness deserves to live in the medieval times. Ah well it was worth a try!

Re: Torso position determined via accelerometer!

This is incredible! Did you make the accelerometer? I have made one from a 'silicon chip' (http://www.siliconchip.com.au/) article but mine is not set up to log data (but can be).

You should be an engineer if you are not already one, I am amazed by this.

What is the perfect humidification setting on s9?

G'day, Who else LOVES humidification? This to me is one of the biggest positives of CPAP. It is so nice in the middle of freezing winter getting into bed and turning the CPAP on, and slowly feeling the air warm up and feeling that lovely warm euphoria rush through your body slowly warming you up. I ...

Re: New to the Forum, Need help weaning offf CPAP...

My sleep doctor says that the human heart absolutely LOVES CPAP, so if you can lose alot of weight - you probably will still have OSA but have less pressure needs. That would be nice in my opinion CPAP on low pressure with nice warm humidification - I can't wait till the day I can decrease my pressu...
