Re: New ResMed S9 H5i Dishwasher safe tub for SALE
I bought one of these recently for somewhere online for around $25ish I believe. Maybe I got a great deal. I always use google shopping to compare pricing.

Re: Strange correlation for me, lower AHI worse night of sleep
I am wondering why I feel worse when both my AHI is lower and I have prevented myself from mouth breathing.kaiasgram wrote:Is your main question why you have a higher AHI when you let yourself mouth breathe, or why you actually feel better the next day even with the higher AHI?

Re: Strange correlation for me, lower AHI worse night of sleep
To me, successful cpap therapy is feeling better. The numbers come second. I average a .3 to .4 AHI and I find that I don't feel as well when I get a zero AHI. Do you use autoset mode or straight cpap mode. Sheriff Good point about feeling well being the priority here. I always have pressure set at...

Re: Strange correlation for me, lower AHI worse night of sleep
If you're mouth-breathing (even in a full face mask), you're probably going to have a dry mouth. Exactly what humidifier setting do you use? You might even try a lower HH setting or even Off ("passover" mode......water but no heat) Are you doing nasal cleansing before bedtime? If not, and you're co...

Good point. I will experiment here, couldn't hurt.JDS74 wrote:Perhaps your humidity is set too low and that's why you experience dryness.
With your mouth forced closed, perhaps your nasal breathing is more forced so you struggle a little more.

Re: Strange correlation for me, lower AHI worse night of sleep
... When I take steps to mouth breathe less I get a lower AHI in my data (under 5) ...but I feel like I didn't get as good a night sleep as when I allow mouth breathing and have a higher AHI (slightly over 5). Confused... your listed mask is a FFM.. mouth breathing wouldn't be an issue using that. ...

Re: I just changed my machine RESMED 10 air sense auto
If you want a machine that will lower your AHI and keep it consistently low, one could very well go with a much cheaper data capable machine than an S9 auto and get similar or better results. CPAPS are not perfect, miracle machines after all. Most people went with the S9 because of data, aesthetics...

Strange correlation for me, lower AHI worse night of sleep
I just wanted to see if anyone else has the same issue I have experienced. When I take steps to mouth breathe less I get a lower AHI in my data (under 5) ...but I feel like I didn't get as good a night sleep as when I allow mouth breathing and have a higher AHI (slightly over 5). I feel more normal ...

Re: I just changed my machine RESMED 10 air sense auto
I just started reading about this new machine this morning. I was psyched at first but the more I read the less I feel like upgrading my S9 with humidifier which is something I wouldn't mind doing. I am wondering how it's actually a more effective cpap machine over the S9 auto. How will it help user...

Re: S9 stopped providing daily data. Can i reset my machine?
Make sure sure All available data selected as shown page 14 of the guide http://www.resmed.com/us/assets/documents/product/resscan/1014845_resscan_report_interpretation-guide_amer_eng.pdf You did it! Thank you so much for pointing this out. It reverted to summary data only for some reason. Thanks a...

S9 stopped providing daily data. Can i reset my machine?
So. I have tried 2 sd cards now and I still have the same issue. ResScan gives me Summary Graphs and Statistics but when I click on Detailed Graphs it just says no data is available. This is for all daily graphs going back a year! This just happened out of the blue about a month ago. No idea how to ...

Re: Is the Resmed SD card unique?
I have used a SanDisk SD card from WalMart in my S9. No problems at all. I have not tried one of the High Def SD cards but I have heard that the newer machines don't care about HD SD cards but some of the older S9 machines did. I didn't even have to reformat the SanDisk SD card that I used. Ok. I'm...

Re: Is the Resmed SD card unique?
Thanks for the responses. I returned the card so not sure what kind it was specifically just that it fit fine. I did try to reformat it and pretty much do everything that could be done to get it to work properly that I could try technically. I will go back and see if it was an hd card or something u...

Is the Resmed SD card unique?
I bought a replacement SD card at Walgreens and it wouldn't work in my S9. When I do a search online I see CPAP stores selling Resmed branded SD cards. I thought it was a generic card? Thoughts?
