I take my card out and download it to my computer every day and put it right back in the cpap never once turning off the power to do it. So far no trouble.

Actually a very intelligent question! Heres what my Resmed S9 Vpap Adapt Asv states in the clinician manual!

Removing the card
Before removing the card, instruct the patient to
disconnect the VPAP Adapt device from the power outlet.

Then when replacing the card and plugging into power, it reboots, which is always a good thing to do with computers. Dan

I had been taking mine out with the power off, but still plugged in. I never got any kind of message.....until last night when I plugged it in at the hotel and it said "reading card data".

That damn machne cost me $50 in bag fees. This was an overnight trip and I could have gotten by with a carryon were it not for that.

I can never remember the difference between remove and eject. So far I haven't trashed my IPOD thought.

LOL. I not only remember floppy disks but I also remember when there was no such thing. Technology advances. Pull the card when you want and no worries.
I'm so old I can remember when a computer was a big rock, and you scratched writing on it with a charred stick. Jim

$50 in bag fees? Does this mean that you checked a bag with your CPAP in it? I always carry on my CPAP; don't want to risk it being lost or damaged by the airline. And since it's medical equipment it doesn't count toward your carry on allowance.

Medical equipment doesn't count as a carry on - as long as it contains only your medical equipment (ie. don't pack your makeup or toothbrush in your cpap bag) But if the carry on limit is 1 bag, you can have 1 bag plus your cpap, they aren't allowed to count it against you since it's medical. The only exception may be an overseas airline that does not have this kind of policy.

Imagine my surprise to see this ...

Still, no valid data for Sunday on either product. I've noticed large data gaps from the machine from several past nights. Could be a machine malfunction?

My Devilbiss Intellipap auto beeps and tells me "Card removed. Send to your Provider" after I remove it. Power is applied, but it's in standby. When I take it out of my laptop and put it back into the machine, it will say "card detected". If there's data to update, it will say "downloading data" as it compares what's on the card to the data stored in the machine.
