Hello, I am new

Hi,
Imagine my surprise when finding out there was such a large community of apnea sufferers. I searched but didn't find too many suffering from what I am. I have been using my cpap machine for about a month. My wife say's I am sleeping and quiet at night, so I assume it is working. It took a good couple of weeks to get used to sleeping with the damned thing, but I can do it now. I don't feel any different, I am still tired throughout the day at times. My biggest problem since starting on the cpap is that I wake up now and my whole body is sore and my back hurts like you wouldn't believe. It started when I started sleeping with the cpap. Has anyone else had this, and is there any solution other than Ibuprofin?

Welcome to the forum.
Yeah, I was kind of blown away when I started seeing how many others suffer for this affliction.....and that was almost a year ago. And, then when you consider all of the users who either don't have computers or haven't found these forums, it adds up to a pretty staggering number. Unfortunately, too many people who haven't found these forums give up on their therapy.....and thereby endanger themselves, their family and others.

Although I don't recall experiencing what you are, I HAVE read posts from others who have. All I can suggest is to stick with it and it SHOULD pass. This stuff affects people in different ways and that goes for the "recovery period", too. If you happen to be visiting with your doctor, you might mention it to him/her for the sake of having it documented.
