Publishing MyEncore Reports in Adobe Acrobat Format - Neato

Post by Jerry69 » Wed Jan 11, 2006 9:19 am

Click on the link to see my MyEncore data reports from 12-7-2005 to present in a really neat PDF format. It is 346K so may be a little slow to download if you don't have a broadband connection.

I created this by selecting "Print Selected Charts" from the options at the bottom of any MyEncore report:

Image
Then, choose the charts you want included from the pop-up window:

Then, choose Adobe PDF as the printer in the printer drop down:

Then, click on printer "Properties" and choose "Landscape" under the "Layout" tab:

Finally, click OK to get the PDF report.
Once you get the PDF report, you can annotate it with 'Notes', those little yellow ballons you see on my charts.

The hitch in all of this is you have to have the full version of Adobe Acrobat, not just the free Adobe Reader. I'm anxious to hear from those of you that have only the free Reader on you machine to know if you can read the comment ballons.

If it wasn't for Encore Pro and MyEncore, CPAP wouldn't be nearly as much fun.

Jerry,

Yes, I can read the "balloons" when I put the "hand" on them.
I'm using Adobe Reader Ver. 7.0.5

I see you've got some apneas coming back the last few nights......but still a good AHI.

Yep, your a "numbers man".......

Have a good one.

Hey Jerry69,
Glad it works for you! I wasted one helluva lot of time trying to get the pdf printing to work. It seemed to work on some computers, but on others (including my development machine) I only got the top left hand corner of the plot. It was if the printer resolution was wrong, but I could not figure how to make it right! In the end I just gave up...

Derek,

In my work I encounter printing PDFs of all sizes and shapes from many sources and I can tell you that the difficulties you have run into with PDFs are a constant source of frustration for me.

Sorry I can't offer any solutions... just empathy.
Sincerely,
wading thru the muck of the sleep study/DME/Insurance money pit!

Derek,

I got the upper quarter of the chart until I selected 'landscape' in the printer layout. Could it be that simple?

Jerry
