Out of pure curiosity: Why is the home titration done with no humidifier?

Because Kaiser doesn't want to buy you a humidifier if you're not going to continue with CPAP (I don't know what their home titration "failure rate" is) and they don't want to have to clean them on their loaner machines.

Because of staffing issues (flu season, a lot of sleep lab people were out, and they had squeezed me in to begin with), I had to use the home titration machine for a MONTH without humidification. It's miserable--most people only have to do it for a week and they tell you to use the neti pot, drink plenty of fluids, and use nasal gel to reduce the drying out.
