chinstrap position

I forget, do you wear the chinstrap inside the headgear or outside?

I wear my PapCap chinstrap beneath my mask.
Firstly, I'm claustrophobic and the thought of not being able to rip off my mask if I need to doesn't come into play.
Secondly, there is a nice li'l loop with some velcro that I can secure my hose above my head, keeping it out of the way during the night - not possible if mask is beneath PapCap.
Also, the PapCap stops the headgear pulling and tangling my hair - my initial reason in buying that particular chinstrap.

I presume with a regular chinstrap it wouldn't matter - maybe if you need your headgear to be more stable, wearing chinstrap outside would help with that?

Cheers,
xena

In my case it's just a generic chin-strap. Temporary measure until my Quattro comes tomorrow. So inside it is!

Talon - I thought you just got a Hybrid mask and I was wondering if you used a chin strap. I have given a Hybrid the old college try but apparently when I fall asleep I have a major chin drop that dislodges the pillows. A chin strap would be my final attempt at making it work. So you have a Quattro coming. Am I wrong in thinking you were using a Hybrid?

I was, but the leak rate on it is alarming (upwards of 30L/m). It feels wonderful, but for some reason it just can't make a tight enough seal for me. A few folks here suspect it's my goatee. I'm not giving up on it, but I need a few weeks of solid treatment before I can experiment again =)
