Nearly New Large Hans Rudolph

Post by Severeena » Thu Jan 05, 2006 4:52 pm

Does anyone have a nearly new Hans Rudolph that they would like to part with if you are not using it, or do not like it for some reason?

I am needing this size for my hubby.

He is having a very hard time and I cannot use his language he is using when he puts on his Ultra Mirage Full Face Mask. He hates the obscene noises.

He is using the straps like suggested, but still having trouble. He hates what he calls &*)%^$#@!&^&

I did not use words so you can use your imagination.

Hey there

I hope you can find someone willing to help you out. I am still waiting on my medium mask and hoping that it will fit me. So is your hubby having trouble with his Ultra Mirage too. Hopefully you guys will be able to find one for him to try. It is too bad the local DMEs don't deal with them all that much

Good luck
Chelle

Hi Severeena,

I read in your many past postings that your hubby was being fitted for HR mask and touted HR as the best mask ever invented. What's going on...? Ummmm.... Now it sounds like you got caught in telling a story that isn't true.

No I am not telling a story.

Some people do not like the Hans Rudolph for some reason or another.

I put the post out for those that may have this mask and not like it like I do.

This mask like other masks may not be for all people, just like I have said in the past.

Do not put words in my mouth.

Good for you Severeena. I'm sure once he has one good night of sleep, if he is a little upset, all will be forgiven. He'll then be able to get a great night of sleep and feel a lot better. I know once the majority of my mask leaks were gone, I was so happy. Waking up to obscene sounds on your face is so not fun.

I know what you mean.

I know he will be upset with me for ordering the HR but I had to. He has done so many nice things for me, I wanted to do something nice for him.

I know there is the V7600 and the V7500 full face masks and the nasal mask.

I know they are coming out with a digital mask of some sort. I need to look into that one.

Severeena,

In order not to get the obscene noises from the Resmed Ultra Mirage, one has to lie down before turning on the machine. After doing this, there is a sucking sound which indicates that the mask is getting a good seal on the face. Get your hubby to try this and let us know if it helps.

Also using a regular pillow like the "shapeable" one from Target that Judybear recommends helps.

Ric, that's VERY FUNNY!!!

Why are we all wearing these things on our faces?

He gets these noises regarless of what he does. His mask is making all the noises mine did and they are very annoying to man with PTSD. any Viet Nam Vet on this forum will know what I am talking about. He bought two very good pillows that Tony Little was talking about and they are quite comfortable.

Barb I think all masks have their own querks, and we seem to be the ones that find them.

Ric not sure yet on fitting like a glove but my petite and extra small Hans Rudolph full face mask sure do.

I will get in touch with the Hans Rudolph people and ask them about the digital mask they are developing.

I am not afraid to ask questions.
