Help needed for repairs.

Post by Muchombo » Thu Jul 29, 2010 12:38 am

I have had my REMstar Pro with c-flex for 6 years now.
It will go for 45 secs and then start beeping.
I figure it is the sensor for the breathe back which is probably not working since this is the amount of time it uses if you stop breathing.
Have tried everything short of palying with the internal hoses.
Also when I plug machine in it shows the EEE code and starts beeping in about 20 secs. This was how long i had to start the airflow.
Any Ideas or else how can I get it repaired in Canada

Have you gone to one of the dealers such as Vitalaire? They may tell you, however, that it's time to get a new machine... how many hours are on it?

I agree with Julie. It's time for a new(er) one. If it's the plain Pro (as opposed to the Pro 2), it's not data capable. The costs of repair will probably be higher than buying a newer (slightly used) one. You can find good deals on new or slightly used data-capable machines at http://www.cpapauction.com
Or, you can get new ones at https://www.cpap.com

Thanks for the help. I have been in touch with my local Vitalaire dealer and will get a loaner tuesday while mine is being fixed.
Thx Again

Let us know what they found and what they charged to fix it, please? It sounds like my Pro 2 just before it absolutely quit. I had the card read and 2 DME's had no clue what they were looking at!! It showed No Patient Breathing!! It had a bad sensor that was common for that generation. Good Luck and let us know!!
