Re: What Auto would you recommend?
Bleeping Beauty - I would LOVE to buy another just like I have but I don't think they make this exact same machine anymore. I want another just in case this one decides to stop working. I have no idea what the life span is for these things, but I've got over 9000 hours on it --that's why I'm startin...

Re: What Auto would you recommend?
Thank you so much! The links have at least narrowed it down a bit. Now to decide which one. I appreciate your help.

What Auto would you recommend?
I have used a Remstar Auto with C-Flex for the past 5 years and it has over 9000 hours on it. I've loved it but am wondering how much longer it will keep working and would like to find another auto, just in case this one dies. Does anyone have any recommendations? Prices?

Re: What Sleep aid?..Non-respiratory depressant
I had insomnia before ever being diagnosed but just lived with it. After starting cpap therapy, I found I couldn't tolerate the mask at all without a little help. I take 2 mgs of Lunesta every night and it works great for me. I know I shouldn't take anything but I figure it this way----either I take...

Re: Travelling with CPAP tomorrow - Opinions/Suggestions Sought
Just went to Australia and back in December. I didn't use the bag it came in - I put everything in a carry-on that I put foam rubber under the part that zips for extra padding. I used the Remstar bag the first time I went down there and found it extremely heavy to carry so this time I put it in a ca...

Re: What happened??
Best laugh I've had all day, Rooster. Yeah, I know I said "snotty" but then he said "snooty" and I thought it sounded less harsh so thought I'd just go with that one..

Re: What happened??
No, I didn't use the cpap on the way down, nor back up. We did fly Quantas and also have heard that they're very good about the use ---it was just a case of not wanting to scare my fellow passengers to death. I tape my mouth shut and that along with the mask I thought would be not a good thing to lo...

Re: What happened??
My apology, Jim --yes, I do indeed have a Remstar Auto, as it says in my profile. I know this is a dumb question, but where do I go to change my profile if something needs updated? I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find an edit button for it. I appreciate the replies. I'm glad you pointed out...

What happened??
I recently visited my daughter in Australia and of course took my cpap. I carried it on the airplane and was extra careful. On the second night there I noticed the heated humidifer was not heating, although the light came on when I pushed the button. I had to use a converter for it and thought perha...

Travel light weight auto pap
Several months into the future I plan a trip to Australia. I am wondering if anyone knows a good light-weight autopap with heated humidifier I could buy for the trip. I currently have a Remstar auto with cflex. I took that the last time I went down and felt it to be too large, heavy and unweildly. I...

Wistful --good for you for giving it another go!! I've used the Activa for my primary mask for over a year. My insurance would pay for another so I got another Activa. The first couple of nights I was having horrible leaks with the new one and didn't know why. I found that the position of the forehe...

I don't think she's been able to actually keep it on long enough so monitoring the water level may not be an accurate way to guess how much she's really using. I will ask her about whether she feels the burning first thing or later on in the night - thanks, Linda. She hasn't spoken of rainout but th...

Lyza - that's a good question. I guess I would call her more of an acquaintance (I see her at work) than a really close friend. But from what I've observed, I really think she would like to have the problem solved. I know it's easy to make excuses ---I did my share at the beginning too but I'm not g...
