WELCOME THE EVEREST & THE HEADREST

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We've Changed!

If you've come to know our products as the aura system, you'll want to know that the AEIOMed CPAP system is the Everest™ and the nasal interface is the Headrest™ with nasal seal.

Everest - Live the CPAP enabled life.

From the very beginning, the Everest CPAP system, including the optional integrated humidifier and rechargeable battery pack, and the Headrest with nasal seal, have been designed with the patient in mind.
The small, elegant and compact CPAP system combined with the adjustable and secure Headrest create the ideal patient-friendly treatment.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Nasal Seal
Size can be as important with an interface as it is with the CPAP unit, and the nasal seal is small. Its flexible tubing follows the center of the face, so there’s nothing to block the field of vision. For travel, it folds neatly into a compact shape just right to stow safely and efficiently.

This interface is truly comfortable. Touching only the nostrils, it delivers the prescribed air pressure without irritating the rest of the soft tissue on the face. And even more importantly, the Headrest™ is tightened independently from the adjustments to the seal, meaning that you won’t have to experience seal discomfort in order to achieve superior stability.

Use the Headrest with nasal seal and you'll always get the Perfect Fit™.

Bad choice in my opinion.
What with the amount of air pressure and oxygen on top of the Everest, and those who rest forever, Everest does not no sound like a good name to me, at all!

...By the way, I wish they had some instructions for fitting that headrest ..

Hey, they do!!

Don't you like that PDF file's name?

I've already got a headrest out in my car on top of the seat back. So why should I pay to get another? .

Yeah, lousy choice of names.

HEY! Where have you guys been! I've been posting about the name change for 3 days and the silence has been defening.

I'm glad somebody finally has picked up on Johnny's AEIOMed interview post and the name change.

Wonder if they thought that the subliminal eveREST, headREST was going to work better for them?

I agree with ozij...when I think of Everest, I don't think of easy breathing.

Hey Bill, Maybe they called it the headrest because originally it was going to use two steel rods that stick into your head just like the ones in our car seats. LOL!

Sincerely,

I was ignoring it because I couldn't believe they would actually change to something so lame. Obviously I underestimated the stupidity of their marketing dept.

Wow, the first thing that came to my mind was climbing Mount Everest!

I don't think they were going for that visualization!

Ever-Rest? Almost sounds like a cemetery name...ewwwww. I think they're just running out of catchy ones.

See, even the posting of this info under two different subjects PROVES how important naming can be.

(I missed the other one also)

Now maybe they can make this seemingly horrendous choice of a name work. I mean if a bicycle company can make good even after naming itself after a "Long and ardous journey" (definition of "Trek" as in Trek bicycles), then maybe this can work too.

After all, its certainly kicked up some discussion......eventually.

Pardon me while I catch my breath and gasp and wheeze for a bit after thinking about breathing that rarified Everest air....

Geeze, I get back from a week of vacation and find that my little fave, the Aura, has undergone a name change??!! I agree -- poor choice of a new name for it -- those mental images of Everest mountaineers gasping and wheezing and struggling to take one more step. Not to mention the climbers that have to give up and quit!

I mean, really! If they were gonna have to come up with a new name for it, they should have whipped out a magic marker and renamed it the Laura.

Why did I buy one?

Well, ummm...."Because it was there"? LOL!!

Wait. I bought the Headrest, not the Everest, didn't I? Gawd, the two dumbest sounding names. Oh well, a rose by any other name...

With all the good press you've given the "Aura" all the time at least that I've been on the site, they truly should have named it either The Laura or Rested Gal, although the latter might have deterred men from buying it if they felt they would be considered a gal if they used it.

WELCOME BACK!!! This site wasn't the same without you!!! Hope you are truly a rested gal from your vacation.
