We'll be a matched set

Post by Twinsanity » Thu Oct 20, 2005 5:18 pm

My husband had his sleep study last night. He said the tech/therapist(?) came in around 1AM and "put that stupid nose mask on."

I'm really glad he finally had it done. I've known he's had sleep apnea for years and it was kind of odd for me to be dx'd and get treatment before him.

He'll hear from DME probably tomorrow. From what he said about his experience with the "stupid mask," it sounds like he's going to have much higher pressure than me. He didn't like the nasal mask and wondered if he could try one like mine (Swift). Is there a pressure beyond which a Swift would be harder/impossible to use?

I asked him to ask what his pressure will be and I would do some searching around the forum, gathering info before he goes in.

Oh, by the way, I'm at two nights and a nap without any more mystery mask removals. *knock wood*

Good Luck to your hubby with becoming a hose head.

It helps when one in the family is already on the machine and can help the other with moral support.

I know Tom really helped me and I have even given him a few pointers. He had never even heard of a chin strap or even a full face mask.

So, we all learn that is for sure.

Give him the support and help he will need.
