Does anyone know anything about this test?
What I am really interested in is whether having untreated/undiagnosed OSA--with the resultant sleep issues and fatigue and brain fog, etc.--might possibly cause anything unusual to show up in a non-sleep EEG (specifically a quantitative EEG but I assume the actual EEG is basic)?

It is very hard to identify any abnormal non-sleep EEG pattern related to the sleeping problem. I am working on a institute of brain functioning research, which have two EEG labs on site. The EEG waveform is very difference from one person to another. To justify that there is a different EEG pattern for the people with sleeping problem, the researchers have to show that the difference of the non-sleep EEG waveforms between the normal subject and those from a patient group is not due to the factors other than those related to the sleeping problem.
You can do a quick search on PubMed with keyword of "EEG apnea" to identify the current and part research literature about the topic ( http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/quer ... =EEG+apnea ). I suspect some researchers have already looked into it, but don't surprise if you cannot find any consistent results.
