Could one of the European members who use this exotic species of hose (the heated hose being sold at Sleepzone for $89.00) from down under please let me know what kind of electrical conversion device they are using to convert what they received to what they need for European current? Please be as specific as possible.
Many thanks!

Hi David,
I use the machine in Israel - we have the same voltage as you do, and, as a matter of fact the power supply for my APAP is the European version.
Don Fischer, who sells the hose in Australia will send you instructions if you ask.
I bought a converter at an electronics shop in Jerusalem. (Interdiscount in Switzerland?)
My converter, made somewhere in East Asia (threw away the box where it says where...)says :
"Switching mode power supply
model: SMP-1000A 012
pri: 100-240V~50/60hz 0.25A max
sec: 12V === 1A 12VA max LPS."
It has one kind of connector at the end, and fits perfectly. Before that I tried one of those cheaper, simpler converters that have many connectors at the end - none fit. It cost me less than the equivalent of 20 SFR.
It gets pretty warm when I use it, so I assume its loaded to the limit. Don said these things do get warm when used.
The polarity for mine is "minus" on the outside of the connector, and "plus" on the inside. To be on the safe side I brought along the hose when I looked for the power supply.
All this is for a hose that was supposed to work connected to PB powersupply, it might be different for a simple hose - though I doubt it.
What you need is something that will convert the current to 12V, 1 amp.
I suggest you email sleepzone and ask them for details - they're very nice.
Hope this helps.
