Lindakay Introduction

Post by lindakay » Wed Oct 13, 2004 4:34 pm

Hi everyone. I began using a CPAP the beginning of September and am now using nasal pillows, which make everything a lot easier to tolerate! I have a friend who also was diagnosed with sleep apnea around the same time as me and am going to tell her about this site. What a great support group this will make!

I'm 57, a legal secretary, and not very happy at all about having to sleep with a machine every night, but... I seem to have crossed a line, where instead of wishing I could just not use it if only I didn't drive my poor husband right out of the bedroom with my snoring.... to realizing that I am feeling better with it, with more energy and stamina, and probably staving off health problems!

Does anyone else use nasal pillows? Do they make your nose stuffy? I'm completely stuffed up during the day but don't want to give up the pillows. The masks hurt the bridge of my nose!

Hello Linda Kay,

Welcome to cpaptalk.com!!!

Thank you for taking the time to register, we appreciate it.

I use nasal pillows, mostly, and really like how well I sleep with them.

Are you using a heated humidifier? When I fist started, I didn't have a humidifier and had the same reaction as you... a stuffy nose.

Please post away... everyone here loves to learn and share.

Regards,

Ted... the Titrator
