Mine has shipped. I will report on it. Moleskin and cotton is helping a lot right now. No more zits at least and the bridge is red but gets normal by end of day.

I don't know if it would be like mask material but am assuming it is.

Some masks I have had do have a funny strong smell. I soak them for about 20 minutes to a half hour, when they are new, in Ivory Dishwashing Liquid (I use that for washing all my cpap stuff) and that helps with the strong smell. After that I can wash them in a couple of minutes each time.

May be worth a try. I have 2 of these on order and they were shipped Friday but I am in Canada so will have to wait longer. I usually use nasal pillows so it doesn't matter how long it takes them to come.

hi
the instruction card says this is made of Mineral oil.
That it moisturizes by gradually and constaly diffusing onto the skin.

do not clean with shampoo.
keep out of direct sunlight.

I am soaking in mild hand soap. will see if that helps.

That sounds strange. The website says,
The Sleep Comfort Care Pad is a polymer gel material
.

Mineral oil is a liquid at room temperature.

I wonder if there is a process to suspend mineral oil in a solid polymer gel. As the gel wears away, the mineral oil would provide lubrication? That could be why the life of pad is relatively short. Just speculation on my part.

I think you are correct, That would explain the short life span.

I tried soaking it in water with a nice smelling hand soap. It still smells. I will be calling about this on Monday.

Maybe someone has some ideas to remove the smell?

Pros: Material.

Cons: Just about everything else.

Its too big.
It smells
It flops around like a big noodle...a BIG noodle and does NOT stick. This is a problem with not sticking and flopping around.

Because it flops off the face on the cheek sides. Not good at all.

It was so annoying trying it, I knew there was no way I could sleep with it.

I give this product a BIG thumbs down.

I agree, Image

I emailed and called them about the smell. I have had no response. :?:
Not a good way to do business.

Wonder if its worth to try the nipple cream - lanisoh under it. Wonder if that would help it stick.

Just wanted to let you know what is going on with this product so far.

I called and emailed The place it was purchased. ( don't know If I am allowed to say the name...but we know anyway.)

After calling 3 days ago, for the 2nd time. I finally received a call back. They were polite and questioned the problems.

Which I explained about the smell and that someone else could not even get it to stick.
They said they were calling their supplier and would call me back. Time will tell.

He also said to call the number on the card that came in the case. I will call them Friday.

more to come...next week, I hope.

Sorry, but I just can't believe the testominals and that "real" testing was done. I swear someone who never wore a CPAP mask and actually HAD the issue designed it. They could save HALF of the material of the thing and this would be obvious with someone that had nose bridge issues. It was to me. I asked "why did they use so much material? :D

Doesn't stick as advertised. But I managed to get it under the HC432 FF mask properly. Woke up an hour and a half later with a headache, so removed it and changed masks back to the Fit Life.

Will leave a nastygram for the place where I ordered it, but not giving up on it yet.

These negative reactions are probably over-rated.

I used a large Comfort Care Pad for the first time with my Quattro last night. No problems.

There is nothing in the literature that says this product self-sticks. When I took my mask off for a bathroom break in the middle of the night the device stayed in place and I did not have to reposition it.

The lite mineral smell is certainly not offensive or bothersome, and no, you can't wash it out. If you think you can't handle a lite mineral smell, don't buy it.

The flopping around comment is nonsense.

It will take a few days to see if the pre-Comfort Care Pad soreness goes away.

The product is simple to clean with the alcohol prep-pads that I use to clean my mask.

I'm unclear as to what all the screaming to the distributor is going to do for you.

Jeeze, lighten up!
