Everybody reacts to different machines differently... so no matter what the answer is, in order to find out, you still need to try it on your own.

And for many the difference in algorhythms makes no difference in their therapy or comfort. I've used both the Respironics pre-M Series Auto w/C-Flex and Resmed S8 Elite w/EPR and Resmed S8 AutoSet Vantage and not noticed any difference in therapy comfort or effectiveness. I just like the Resmed ease of access to and amount of data available via the LCD screen, and I like the ResScan software better than the EncorPro software. I also like the ease of set up and disassembly of the Resmed over the Respironics. But these have NOTHING to do w/the algorhythms or comfort of therapy I received from either device.
