Ditto here regarding signup and email. Now it goes without saying (is that the right expression?), if you've got a welt, you need to be using a different mask and let your welt heal.

Rooster, now, you've been known from time to time to yank at least my chain. Is this legit, or was this site put up by C-Man or you? (friendly inquiry, but just sayin').

I also tried to order and was unable to. It would be nice if this works.

I too have tried contacting the manufacturer with no luck, but I see that the pads are now for sale at cpapusa.com. Here's the direct link to the product:

http://www.cpapusa.com/product/Sleep_Co ... e_Pad.html

Looks promising... I'm definitely ordering one to see if it works!

My concern is that there is no ventilation for this pad. So I am curious how this will work. Please let us know the outcome, falvesjr. Thanks.

Gary,

I'm not sure I understand your concern... There's no need for ventilation... It's just a soft pad that goes between the mask and your skin. See this picture:

Image

It's made of a very soft, sticky polymer, and provides a cushion between your mask and the bridge of your nose. I am really bothered by masks that hit me right at the bridge, so I'm hoping that this will help! I've seen this material before in different products and it's really cool. As long as it's clean, it's sticky. It loses it's stickiness when it gets dirty, but all you have to do is wash it and it gets sticky again.

I will keep you guys posted about this after I receive it and try it! :D

I ordered two pads yesterday, a small and a large. It'll probably be mid to late next week before I receive and try them. I'll definitely post back then with my impressions of how well it works and some size info so you can have a better idea if you need a small or a large. :D

I saw something on the site where you had the link about replacing every 30 days, but if you keep it clean, I can't imagine it wouldn't last longer. Let us know how it works.

If it's the same kind of material that I've seen before, you could probably use it indefinitely if you keep it clean and well cared for. At $15 a pop, replacing it every 30 days would not be economical, in my opinion...

I too have been having tremendous problems with full face masks making the bridge of my nose red, sore, swollen, and sometimes infected. I have tried 6 different full face masks so far and no luck with any of them. I have tried 2 hybrids, and I cannot get the nasal pillows to seal at all.

I had a close look at the silicone gel nose bridge protector on the website link provided and got to thinking...there must be something out there made of this type of material that can be trimmed to the same shape and used to protect the bridge of my nose. I finally hit upon it: every holiday you can now find "stick-on" holiday window decorations that are made of this soft gel material. I found a nice large white halloween skull decoration and trimmed a piece of the gel to fit over the bridge of my nose and under my eyes. I wash the gel with soap an warm water each night, pat it dry and stick it to my nose and face, then apply the mask over it. The gel creates a perfect seal with a lot less tension than I neede without, and I wake with NO RED SORE NOSE!! :D

I hope this post helps some of you sore nose bridge sufferers!

Mike, count me as being out of the holiday crowd. If you can post a link to something like what you're using, I'd greatly appreciate it. Has to be less expensive than this item.

FalvesJr, did you get this product yet?
