Another thing to consider is that untreated sleep apnea often dangerously stresses the heart, leading to atrial fibrilation and other problems. In this scenario, after a period of successful treatment, the heart will have a chance to heal, giving it more resiliance if the OSA sufferer goes a night without CPAP. So, in this sense, there should be less "addiction" to CPAP the longer one uses it successfully. That said, given that we're all addicted to breathing, those of us who need CPAP to get the air through properly while sleeping should never sleep without it :)

And that vampires are not just after blood, but the oxygen in the blood! They are actually untreated apnea sufferers ! :lol:
