Hi everyone! I just wanted to report that I'm doing much better after two more nights on CPAP. I am averaging 5.5 hours of sleep per night with it, and I'm starting to feel better during the day!!
I do have one question. My husband reported that I was snoring at 6:30 this morning. Does this mean my pressure is too low? I woke up with my alarm clock this morning, and checked for leaks before taking off my mask and headgear. Everything seemed to be fine, so I was taken aback when he told me this! My machine is (obviously) not an Auto machine and my level was set by my doctor at 13. Is there a way I can up the pressure myself? I have a Respironics Rem Star Pro.
Thanks for your help!

Gabby...
If you want to take charge of your own therapy.....and that's a very smart move on your part.....you need a "data-capable" machine that'll deliver data to a smart-card that's readable with software for your own computer.
Without software that'll give you printable reports, it's difficult to get the pressure settings "just right".
Push hard for a machine that's able to give you full data......and immediately buy software....and a card-reader to go with it.

Hi LittasGabby
Gerald has it absolutely right. Reading your results, and fine-tuning, is the way to go.

Re: Update
If you have a Remstar Pro 2 like you have listed in your profile it is data capable and will give you lots of information. If you have the Remstar Pro then it will not give you and detailed data unless it is the Remstar "M" Series Pro which is data capable.

Re: Update
You will have to purchase the Encore Viewer software and the Respironics card reader, which are available at https://www.cpap.com, among other places. cpap.com is the host of this forum, and will price match other reputable online vendors. The software only works on Windows XP/Vista/7.
