Performance Maximizer (Fisher and Paykel)

Post by drubin007 » Fri Aug 07, 2009 4:13 pm

I got the new software today... woot!

Not only am I the new kid on the block with the HC254 (new model) but also with this software. I am the first person to actually ask for it. It was free, and there does not appear to be any licensing restrictions to it. Having said that, if anyone would like a copy send me a pm and I can send you a copy of the software (if you have a F&P machine it seems pretty good) as well as the install instructions. Or if you have an ftp site I can copy the disc there too....

*update* I was asked by the source I got it from to not share it, as it could cause problems for them... One of the members on this board does have an ftp site and he has been sharing it on my behalf.

I will get up a copy of the reports in the next few days to show what it displays... (its a 12 page report for the past 9 days). Gotta figure out photobucket first or get one of my allies on here to help out

I have to say, they are really nice and want to promote the product. Not only did the dme give me new headgear (to replace the optilife that is giving me face farts every night lately), but the sales rep also gave me another headgear and nasal pillows to evaulate.. (Opus headgear and nasal pillows). I wanna go to sleep now, but not sure which headgear to try first.

I really like this auto machine though... even with a major leak last night, and snoring as a result of a bad seal, I still had an ahi of 1 (average) and my numbers were great....

more updates to follow......

I read that F& P was going to start software for their machines. Ironic, they are headquartered in Australia, same as the other big two. Too late for me I have a 608. It is a good machine but is not data capable. Post how it works for you. Congratulations on your new machine and gear. Way to go for you.

does your 608 take a usb stick? If so I would think the software would work...

I think they are based out of New Zealand, and based on what I have seen so far, they are eager to make a good impression.

Apparentally I am the first person to ask for the software.... This is what they give to the dme's.

In about a month they are going to have a secured website up too that I upload my info to, where the doctor can log in and see the info. crazy stuff.

Good deal, if this software is decent FP is in position to capture a good share of this market. Having the heated hose is another bonus.

All of the research I've done shows the HC 608 as a compliance only machine. I know this because my DME wanted to give me one of them. When I had asked about software for it I was told that I was not allowed to have it . Took a little fighting with them but I was able to get the machine that I wanted.

I believe that only the HC244 CPAP and HC254 APAP have efficacy data and are compatible with Performance Maximizer.

And Fisher and Paykel is headquartered in New Zealand. ResMed is from Australia. So are didgeridoos.

I'm waiting and wishing for F&P to come out w/a fully data capable bi-level auto w/the smart stick. *wicked grin*. My local DME supplier's RRT really likes the F&Ps for durability and therapy. Me? I don't like ANY CPAP/APAP/VPAP/BPAP, etc. that isn't fully data capable and doesn't allow ME access to that data.

The F&P Rep was at our last local apnea support group meeting w/their new SleepStyle 200 Auto w/SensAwake and he gave me a copy of a full download printout. It looked to be quite a sturdy, efficient device. A girl I went to school w/years ago had just been provided w/one and I'm looking forward to seeing her at this month's meeting to see how she likes it.

Any idea if the software will work with the Icon Auto? I really dont like the infosmart software as its HUGE and not made for the individual user, I need a nice elegant piece of software like the speepyhead product.
I would like to try it and see if it works anyway

The Performance Maximizer software won't work with the Icon machines. Must use their particular software which is big and bulky but if it is any consolation to you Performance Maximizer is just as big and bulky and PITA software as the InfoSmart.

To Francoisj.....the original poster in this thread doesn't frequent the forum much now but I do think that he likely gets notifications about private messages. Send him a private message and wait for him to respond.
