On Jan 10th I finally have my follow up appt. I have requested a warm air humidifier after reading everyones opinions.
Being Deaf I may have missed a few things the Tech said, but I didn't realize I had to request a new perscription for more time on the machine. I I also requested a warm air humidifier. So that has been taken care of.
Are they going to tell me down the road that I have to buy my own equipment now? The insurance CO has covered everything so far.
I have a ResMed S7 Elite with a Mirage Activa Mask (Standard) and HumidAire 2iC
Someone said something about a Spirit Mask. My apologies, but I didn't write down who said it. I really need to make a journal of information that comes through the Forum.
So anyway please let me know more about the Spirit Mask. Also what questions should I be asking the DR? I have read that some appts are TOO SHORT! So I want to be ready.
I still take my mask off once or twice a week during the night.
During Christmas I slept in the same room as my sister and she said the machine was quiet and I didn't snore and she didn't have to wake me up because I wasn't breathing!!
So that is ALL GOOD!

Good news, The Resmed S-7 is upgradeable to an auto. Its equal to the Resmed Spirit. Just costs nearly $$300 for the software upgrade then a phone call for the password to activate it. Just in case you want to have an auto.
I'm not familiar with a spirit mask . Is it possible you mean Resmed Swift mask.
