SPO 7500 Oximeter Software and Vista 64

Post by janp » Wed Apr 15, 2009 12:54 pm

I'm considering the purchase of the SPO 7500.

I'm getting mixed responses from SPO (SPO Medical) and the software supplier (Danica) regarding Vista 64 compatibility with Vitascore and Vitabase.

I noted that there are quite a number of SPO 7500s being used by Forum members .. can anyone tell me with absolute certainty that it does or doesn't work with Vista 64?

Thanks.

I am using Windows 7 beta 64 bit for operating system. I have not had any trouble with the SPO 7500 software. I don't expect to have any problems when I have to go back to Vista 64 after the beta stops working. I haven't noticed much difference between Windows 7 and Vista 64 as far as program compatibility is concerned.

Dale,

Are there any drivers from the SPO provided software that need to be loaded? Or is one loaded along with the software?

Customer Service at SPO is telling me that the software/hardware won't work because it requires a driver for 64 bit. Which is not available.

By the way, which version of the software are you using?

Thanks for your response.

I have Vitabase 1.40 and Vitascore 1.40. I just put the CD in my CD drive and let 'er rip and it installed the software just fine. I then put the USB connection in the machine and it all installed just fine. It has been a few months since i installed it and I don't have any special recollection of it so I believe it was very simple.

Dale,

Which version of Vista 64 are you referring to?

I'm running Home Premium ... another person using the 7500/software is using Ultimate.

Thanks,

Jan

I am using Ultimate. I don't see any reason for Home Premium not to work also.
