tattooyu, The above caught my attention. I am curious: Do you use any gels or lubricants which come in contact with the pads? (Some people use gels for better seals). How do you clean it? What liquids / soaps / detergnts do you use? How often?

I have been using mine for over 6+ months everyday, and I cannot see any change. I simply clean it in water everyday. So I want to know what happens to your pads. I would be very interested in inspecting your used pads you throw away -- I will pay postage for you. This is scientific curiosity.
Sounds kind'a kinky to me

Anyway ... like feeling_better, I have used mine since last June and have seen no visible or functional difference in my nasal pillows. I just use a liquid hand soap to wash every 3 to 5 days and air dry ... they are just like new.

I've had good luck keeping the head geer in place by wearing a light watch cap. This has helped with several masks. Also I find that I can obtain a good seal by positioning the pillows before turning the machine on -- if I develop a bad leak its almost impossible to reseal without shutting down and repositioning the pillows. One of these days I'm going to have to wash the pillows but then I've only had them about four months

I also seem to have random, intermittent problems with the Swift LT - it will work great for a few days, then, typically, I'll wake up in the middle of the night with leaks, discomfort, etc., and find I'm just not able to adjust the Swift no matter what I do. At that point, I just give up, and switch to my Quattro FFM, which I'll stick to for a few days. Then, the next time I go back to the Swift, it's perfectly fine, no problems, until the next, seemingly random, occurrence of issues.

I actually don't mind this switching back and forth - I love both mask types, and alternating seems to work well for me. I've never liked any of the straight nasal masks, however.

The pillows seem to have changed since June:

I have been using the Swift LT for about 3 months and my experience is that they must be cleaned daily. I have managed to collect 7 pillows and wash them all of them once a week. I wash the pillows in Dr Bronners soap (peppermint) seems to do a great job and smells wonderful. I also think it is important not to over tighten the straps. I have never washed my straps I am not sure if that would help or hurt my results. As for hair style I am bald 75% by nature and the rest I do myself. Good luck with you fitting.

In the last week I was able to trade my small and medium pillows to two Kentucky ladies, for their xs pillows. All the sudden I have spares which is very nice! And my small and medium pillows get to live useful lives instead of stacking up at my house.
