Results from recent sleep study

Hello everyone.

I had another sleep study this weekend because I have been feeling terrible since my first one 18 months ago. I knew that I was not getting the advantages I was supposed to get. I went to a different sleep center, it was extremely nice, the staff was excellent and experienced, the setting was great. I asked them to fax me over the study as soon as it was done.

I have been using a VPAP III at 15.6 IPAP 14 something EPAP. I was surprised at what I saw under the treatment plan.

1. CPAP of 10cm Humid: Heated: Mask Type: Full Face C-FLEX with a setting of 3
2. If patient has difficulty with CPAP at 10cm it may be reduced to 7 cm
3. Positional therapy to keep patient off back during sleep
4. Weight loss through exercise
5. Patient was over titrated on previous studies

This certainly doesn't look like what I was told originally. My question is this. I have a follow up appointment on 5/5 but I was wondering if any of the gurus might recommend a machine that would work well for this plan. The VPAP is bulky and I don't like it, if I can get something smaller that I can bring with me, that perhaps doesn't look so much like a giant piece of medical equipment, that would be great.

I am going to scan the study into PDF's for anyone that wants to see it. I know there are a couple people who enjoy looking over these things.

I forgot to add that I would like to change the setting on my VPAP to reflect these recommendations until i get a different machine and I am wondering how to do that. I know how to change the pressure settings but that's the only thing I have poked around with. Anyone info would be much appreciated.

I also forgot to mention that I left a clip from my mask at the center, small plastic thing, I opened my mailbox yesterday and there was a small envelope with a really nice note from the tech who did the study - thanking me for coming there, and telling me that he was sure they got enough information to really help me, and apologizing for making my girlfriend late, and of course, the clip.
