Medicare guidelines for new cpap machine

I am hoping to replace my present cpap machine that I have used every night for 5 1/2 years. When I was first diagnosed with sleep apnea in 2005, there were no sleep medicine certified physicians and my ENT doctor is the one who ordered the sleep study and has been ordering supplies and machines as ...

Having large leaks causing dry throat

A few times when I wake up my throat is so dry it hurts. Then it feels irritated for several days. Looking at my report on Oscar, I am having a lot of large leaks that is likely causing the problem, but they are not waking me up. I thought my mask fit good, but obviously there is a problem. Any advi...

Need help with Air sense 10 settings

Earlier this year I changed from my Climateline hose to a slimline unheated hose and changed the setting for the slimline. Now I was going to put the climateline setting back on so I could use the heated line. I went to settings and the only choices were slimline and standard. I thought there was a ...

Re: Dry throat waking me up at night

I also tape my mouth, so don’t think it is mouth breathing is causing it. I am doing exactly what I have done for years., but this hasn’t been a problem in the past. I think the heat in the hose may be turned up too high but that change can’t be made by me. I used to know out to get to the changes b...

Dry throat waking me up at night

I have a Resmed 10 for her that is almost 5 years old. It is the best machine I have ever had and I have had quite a few, but the last month or two, I wake up with my throat absolutely parched. My humidifier seems to be working as the water disappears and I have a heated hose. I have turned the humi...

Re: Hose for Resmed 10

The heat is making my throat dry during the night. Also on my humidifier container, there is a small spot that looks like it has been burned.

Hose for Resmed 10

Can you use a regular hose in place of the heated one. It seems to dry out my throat at times. If you replace it with an Unheated hose, should it be a slimline hose?

Re: Bruxism and sleep apneia

For me, it has never gone away, however I do think there are times that I do not. I still wear a teeth protector at night. I have used cpap for at least 15 to 20 years.
