Honored to be Registered

Dear CPAP Group,

I have just registered to be involved with you network. Two days ago I posted a message regarding available subscriptions to Great Sleep Magazine. I was not informed that many of you were business people in the sleep industry and took it as spam, I thought CPAPTALK. com was individuals that use CPAP for better sleep. I, in no way meant to be spamming member businesses from that posting, I just wanted people to be aware that a national magazine is being created just for their special needs...like Arthritis Today, or the AARP magazine.

I vow it will never happen again,

Respectfully,

greatsleepmag

Sometimes it's hard to tell spam and trolls from legitimate posts, and a few people here have obsessions with both and jump on anything that even remotely smells like either one! So, legitimate posters who have been mistaken for either can just explain the "mistaken identify" and then forget about it. IMO, anyway.

If you had been a regular poster who we knew then it wouldn't have been an issue. It would have been taken as an attempt to help us out by sharing knowledge. But there are lots of times when someone makes a post only to advertise their product. Usually the product advertised in this manner are not good quality and posting advertisements in that manner are generally considered a shady business practice. A good product can be marketed in many ways besides posting it on a message board. A good product won't need to be posted on a message board to be successful.

Since the web is anonymous and we have no way of knowing who you are until you make yourself known to us we obviously mistook you for one of these shady businesses. If this is not the case then we welcome you to the forum and look forward to an interchange of knowledge and experience with you related to CPAP therapy and sleep apnea in general.

Be careful their adive is NOT professional and is only opinion based.
