Yes, he came home this weekend. He tore a muscle and severed an artery in his abdomen. After the procedure to get the artery to stop bleeding he needed a night of observation and rest so they kept him in the hospital. He is a huge extreme sports guy (Skateboard, snowboard, wakeboard... anything with a board!) trying to get him to slow down is impossible. He boarded all winter with a broken collar bone! Oh to be 18 again and feel invincible! What he doesn't understand is that he will really pay for it when he is 40 and can't hardly move because all the beating he has put his body through. Thanks for asking.
I will lie down and sleep in peace Ps 4:8
Whew.... a severed artery in the abdomen - that must be frightening - for Dads and Moms, if not for 18 year olds...
I hope he'll learn from the torn muscle - that's much worse than broken bone takes much longer to heal.
O.

And now here is my secret, a very simple secret; it is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye.
