I never posted my troubles here at cpaptalk.com But I applied the advice given to others.
Here is my experiance:
After years of waking up feeling like I was ran over by a mack truck dragging my self to work and every where else, I started using cpap for my severe sleep apnea (2.5 month ago) and it was a literal nightmare. I pulled the cpap machine of the table and on to the floor many nights, had my face blistered and dringed with condensation, I threw my mask across the bedroom several times through out the night, experianced the dry mouth syndrome. Spent many hours adjusting and reajusted my mask to get the right fit- I was determined to see what was the positive miracle that many people have experianced. And then it happend. Finally after the 2 months of struggling and appling advice from this site- I woke up feeling like I drank a pot of coffee. Bright eyed and bushy tailed. So this is what a living human being is supposed to feel like. Wow! I am set free and will never go back!!
Thanks for all the advice here at cpaptalk.com.
I finally made it-Thanks to you all for your advice!

Hello & Welcome, Brisco! Glad you found this forum--SO much useful info and SO many helpful people here!
Yep, after a year of ineffective CPAP therapy, I, too, found CPAPtalk.com, and the folks here changed my life for the better! Don't know where I'd be health-wise if I hadn't discovered this forum. So glad to hear it's made a difference for you as well!

Welcome, Brisco.
It's always good to hear success stories. Like you, I "lurked" on this forum for several months before actually joining. I learned a whole lot without having to even ask any questions. I never really had any "problems" with figuring out my therapy, but I discovered from reading these threads that there are many, many people who experience the same things, although sometimes in different ways. There are hardly any unique experiences in this therapy. There's always somebody who's "been there, done that".

Yep, once you get a taste of some real sleep, you just don't want to be without it. For so many years, between the OSA and jumpy legs, I was always stuck somewhere between awake and asleep. If my doctor asked me how well I was sleeping, I wouldn't have had anything to compare my sleep to except less bad and more bad. I truly couldn't remember ever having good sleep. I remember the first time it happened for me a while after I joined this forum. I remember the next day typing on here, "So that's what you all were talking about!" At that moment I would have gladly struck a deal to give up chocolate and sex for a lifetime it I could have been guaranteed good sleep every night. Glad I didn't make the deal without a guarantee, because the good sleep has been evasive due to my limb movements waking me frequently, but I can say that since that day it was like a breakthough and between the wakeups, I do get that deep wonderful sleep on a regular basis.
Congrats!
Congrats!
