I need to change the pressure setting on my Respironics machine and have discovered that I do not have the clinician manual.
Can anyone either tell me the magic button combo to go into the settings mode or tell me where I can find a copy of the manual.
Thanks

Re: Clinician Manual for Respironics C-flex
WHICH "Respironics machine"?
There's only been a few dozen models over the years.
Hint: Look at the top of it and let us know exactly what it says.

Ummmm - I did that - that's why I included C-Flex in the subject line. But now that I've looked again I see some worn out letters that I think say REMstar | proWulfman wrote:WHICH "Respironics machine"?

Re: Clinician Manual for Respironics C-flex
FYI: The REMstar Pro was the older, non-data-capable, predecessor of the (data-capable) REMstar Pro 2 which came out in either late 2004 or early 2005.....the older Pro was discontinued in April of 2005. The older Pro was basically the same machine as the "Plus" model that had C-Flex and a smart card.....neither of which were data-capable.JonP wrote:Ummmm - I did that - that's why I included C-Flex in the subject line. In any case, here are the instructions for the Pro 2 (which should also work for your machine).

REMstar Pro 2 Setup
When in the Setup Menu, the humidifier ^ and ramp v buttons operate as up and down keys to change the settings, the left/right user buttons < > allow you to go to the previous/next question or setting, and the pressure start/stop button is used to exit the Setup Menu. Holding the humidifier or ramp buttons down will cause the values to change more quickly.
To enter the Therapy Setup Menu, hold the two top user buttons < > down while plugging in the power cord.
Continue holding the buttons down until the REMstar Pro 2 with C-Flex beeps twice. (about 5 seconds)
Note: The word "setup" will appear on all of the screens indicating that you are in the Therapy Setup Menu.
If you press the Pressure start/stop button, you will exit the Setup Menu.

Re: Clinician Manual for Respironics C-flex
Dennis - Thank you for hosting these! Several days ago, I was looking for a couple of manuals and came to your site after a Google search. This helped me verify the settings on my machine and cleared up a couple of questions I had. However, I still want the manuals and posted a request here and Rested Gal sent me both. If you're able to make a link on either the Vantage or AutoSet page to point to http://kd1ca.net:82/cpap/manuals/ it would be most helpful for the self-helpers!Dennisla wrote:I have several manuals posted for Respironics devices (and others) here at my web site:

Re: Clinician Manual for Respironics C-flex
Many thanks Wulfman - that works nicely.
Interesting though - my machine identifies itself as a pro model (with a manufacturing testing date of late 2004) but it _does_ have the data collection "credit card" feature.
Maybe the models sold in Canada had different designations? - who knows.
Thanks also to Dennis - I didn't try the instructions because the images in the instruction sheets for the pro didn't match. I was going to try them later but Wolfman came up with an answer that worked so ...

Re: Clinician Manual for Respironics C-flex
My first machine was the same model as yours. They all had the data cards in them but the only thing that card could tell you, with that machine, was how often you were using the machine. No more data than that is available on that machine. I think doctors use it to make sure how often you used your machine and how long each night, for their own information and for insurance purposes. That is still the case with the Remstar Plus machines.
