Smelled like pickles!!!

Post by yawn » Tue Aug 02, 2005 11:13 am

I put my mask on last night and it smelled like sour pickles..yuck!!! I wasn't sure if it was me or the mask. I switched to another mask and it still stunk so I figured it was me. I'm very careful to clean my mask and humidifier chamber every morning. I also clean my filter and hose every week so maybe it's me and not the hardware. Everything is getting a very thorough cleaning again today.
Pickles..yuck!!!

Time to wash your mouth out with soap!

Or maybe just brush, floss and gargle.

Or... eat some pickles and don't brush your teeth before going to bed - you won't even notice the mask smell!

Seriously, though, try rinsing it with baking soda/water. That can work wonders.

You aren't washing your equipment in vineger aer you ? Maybe its the new additive they are using to prevent skin reactions.

No, I didn't use vinegar...just soap and water. I really wasn't feeling well yesterday so it could have just been me. I rewashed everything today so I'm hoping things smell better tonight.

If you are washing that regularly, just try hot water out of the tap. I never use any kind of soap.
