Vaporware isn't too bad, it just shows data five days a week less than the avg "M"eries. Jim

Maybe, they belong to the mindset, "If you build it, the suckers will come." I learned along time ago dealing with software for Commodore's, If you can't get it in your hand, you can't run it.

I really like my IntelliPAP basic, it is much quieter than my auto M or my 420E.

The older DeVilbiss autopaps have software. Can't imagine why the newest one doesn't. Is the manufacturer nuts? To make a good machine and then deprive the user of the info available?

Software may be on they way but they just don't want to set false expectations by issuing a statement something like: "Software will be available on December 15th, 2008" at this point.

Software is funny... just when you think you have it right something blows up and stops working correctly. Of course, this can still happen with software the vendor says is ready to ship... just look at Windows. I rest my case.

In many ways, they've been trying to deprive the users of their data since they developed data-capable machines.
How many times have you heard or read some of these ridiculous arguments.....?
"The software is only for doctors, RTs and DMEs".
"The software is inaccurate".
"Patients won't/can't understand it". (and shouldn't be using it)
"It's illegal to change your (OWN) pressures".
"Go back to your doctor/DME for......whatever....."

And then......the manufacturers try to take it off the market so the users can't get their hands on it.

Hmmm.... if that's what RG thinks, then I'm thinking of little birds telling tales...

Are you sure its going to include efficacy data? Because at this point, all cpap.com is commiting to is "compliance data".

Howdy,

I would like to add my voice to the chorus of little bird chirps.

The team working on the intelliPAP line "gets it". I think CPAPtalkers choosing the intelliPAP are already pleased with the noise level and "just works" factor, but will be even more pleased with products to be released in the near future.

Can anyone PM me directions on how to set the pressure for the Intellipap CPAP?

I was able to pick a new one up online for $150, but I don't know if it will come with the clinic instructions.

Thanks,

JQP

Snoredog "public posted" them one day.
Snoredog wrote:have no idea, but if it is similar to the old machine, it might be:

1. Turn on the machine
2. Turn off the machine
3. Right after that, hold the down arrow down as well as the ramp button... while holding those 2 buttons down hit the power button and it takes you to the setup mode...
4. Scroll over using the Select button until you get to ipap and epap settings and use the up and down arrows to change the levels. When done turn off the machine.

And this was the response:
First of all let me thank each of you who responded. The recommendation and directions to make the programming change worked precisely
Enjoy.

yeah but you said something similar like "they get it" about Respironics after one show, was it Las Vegas? Then they pulled their software from the market. So is this the same "they get it"??

sorry, I couldn't resist

If you want to see the software, you tell them you are NOT buying their machine until they get the software for it and software that gives more than just compliance, people want to know about AHI, leak, 90% pressure and other data which helps them manage their therapy.

While it is a nice looking machine seems well designed and reportedly quiet without data being available from the display or reports, its worthless machine to have.

I guess we could SPAM them with the request: cs@devilbisshc.com

If these mfg's haven't figured it out yet a machine without data capability don't seem to be all that popular. I prefer a machine that gives the detailed data on the display, keeping up with software and Operating Systems is a PIA.
