Opus 360 vs/ Headrest? Opinions?

Post by Twilightcat » Wed Jun 25, 2008 6:37 am

I am due to buy a new mask, and am considering trying the Opus 360 due to the many positive comments read here. I have loved the Headrest mask, and have no complaints.

If you would like, please share your opinion in regard to these 2 masks (Opus 360 and Headrest.)

Thank you very much.

I love the Headrest, but have never tried the Opus. Therefore, I would love to hear others' comments about it, and your assessment if you try it.

Thanks,
Cathy

I use them both and love them. I rotate masks with the Activa to give my nares a rest. The only complaint I would have with the Opus, is the face straps. You absolutely have to have Pad-a-cheeks on them! Or , you get wicked strap marks.

I have only used the swift and opus so far. I find the opus nozzle part comes apart enough to leak sometimes. Lucky I can never find super glue at 4 am in the morning...

Otherwise my limited experience finds it ok but not perfect by along shot. i have to keep the very top of my lip shaved too or it leaks. No big deal tho.

Headrest much louder ... Opus is more quiet

Headrest exhaust fires upward ... Opus fires outward

Hearest headgear doesn't touch your face ... Opus headgear does touch face

Headrest is heavier w/ more bulk ... Opus is very light weight

Headrest has longer thinner mask hose ... Opus has shorter thicker mask hose

Headrest does not have 360 degree hose/mask connection ... Opus does

Headrest pillows harder to clean ... Opus pillows easier to clean

Headrest likely to have rainout (condensation) ... Opus less likely to have rainout
